We had the good fortune of connecting with Izzy Barden and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Izzy, what role has risk played in your life or career?
Leaving the corporate world to start my own real estate business was a risk. Leaving the team I started with was a risk. Starting my own team was a risk. Reinvesting my capitol into my business was a risk. No risk is no reward.
Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
Basically, I just never gave up. In my profession, the vast majority of people get into it because they think they will be able to work less and still make a good living. That is why 85% of them fail and are gone within 5 years. From day one, I treated this career like a job and dedicated myself to working at least 40 hours a week. 40 hours, in the begining was actually the minimum. I usually worked around 50 hours or so. I just built momentum and never quit.
Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
Big Bear Lake is a popoular tourist destination. We could go snow skiing, hiking, biking, fishing or just get lost in the mountains.
Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
My Wife is the foundation I built my business on. Without her taking care of the kids and managing the household, I wouldn’t be able to do this.
