We had the good fortune of connecting with Helene Suos and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Helene, what habits do you feel helped you succeed?
One of the biggest contributors to my success has been developing consistent and persistent habits. I made it a priority to show up every day and put in the work, even when progress felt slow. That consistency helped me build momentum and stay focused on my long-term goals. Persistence was equally important, there were definitely challenges and setbacks, but I kept pushing forward and looking for solutions rather than giving up.

Another key habit was regularly putting myself out there and maintaining a strong professional network. Whether it was attending events, reaching out to people, or simply staying active in relevant communities, I found that opportunities often came from being visible and engaged. Building genuine relationships and being open to new connections has made a big difference in both my growth and my success.

Can you give our readers an introduction to your business? Maybe you can share a bit about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
My business is a true reflection of who I am, creative, people-driven, and rooted in meaningful connections. What sets me apart is my intentional approach: I don’t just deliver a service or product, I create experiences that resonate and build lasting relationships. Whether it’s through my work, collaborations, or the community I’ve built, I focus on authenticity and quality over quantity.

I’m most proud of how far I’ve come by staying true to myself. It hasn’t been an easy journey. There were moments of doubt, slow seasons, and steep learning curves, but those challenges shaped me. I’ve learned to be constantly flexible and open to change, always listening to the market and being willing to pivot or go wherever I need to in order to grow. That adaptability has been key to sustaining and evolving my business. I got to where I am today by being consistent, staying curious, putting myself out there, and being open to learning. Surrounding myself with supportive people who genuinely believed in me made a huge difference, too.

One of the biggest lessons I’ve learned is that growth takes time, and that success doesn’t always look how you expect it to. But if you lead with passion, align with your values, and stay persistent, things start to fall into place.

What I want the world to know about my brand and story is that it’s built from the heart. It’s about connection, purpose, and always evolving. I hope my journey inspires others to trust their path, embrace their uniqueness, and keep going, even when it’s tough.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
When my best friend comes to visit, I go all out, I’m a planner, a foodie, and I absolutely love exploring, so I usually put together a packed, fun-filled itinerary! Every day is thoughtfully curated to experience the best the area has to offer.

We’d kick off the trip with a visit to the stunning Balboa Park, walking through the gardens, checking out a couple of museums, and just soaking in the architecture. Then we’d bike ride downtown along the waterfront, passing by Seaport Village, stopping to see the iconic “Unconditional Surrender” statue and the historic Star of India ship.

No trip would be complete without visiting the San Diego Zoo and also SeaWorld, it’s such a great way to experience nature and wildlife up close. Coffee is a must every morning, and one of my favorite spots is Il Giardino Di Lilly, it’s cozy, charming, and always a vibe.

We’d plan a bike ride along the Silver Strand to Coronado and enjoy lunch there with ocean views. Afternoons would be for beach time, cute boutiques, or even a catamaran sunset cruise, which is always a hit. Watching the sunset at La Jolla Cove while spotting sea lions is an absolute must. One evening, we’d do a classic beach bonfire, complete with s’mores and good music.

And of course, ice cream at Stella Jean’s is non-negotiable. The flavors are unreal and the perfect treat after a long day of adventuring. It’s a week of food, fun, and unforgettable memories, with a little bit of everything that makes this area so special.

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
Absolutely, my shoutout goes to Jenny Thai, one of my closest friends who I consider family. She’s an incredibly talented wedding photographer, but beyond her work, it’s her energy and spirit that have had such a big impact on me. Jenny is endlessly positive, full of high energy, and always inspiring. We’ve shared so many adventures and hobbies over the years, and through it all, she’s been a constant source of encouragement. She always thinks of me and never hesitates to push me to grow, both personally and professionally. I’m truly grateful for her presence in my life.
