Meet Hazey Lioness | Cannabis Photographer

We had the good fortune of connecting with Hazey Lioness and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Hazey, what was your thought process behind starting your own business?
With business comes discipline, and without it you will set yourself behind. I thought I would just have an idea and it would just sell itself. People put trust in others so you need to trust yourself to push forward. Your business is successful with consistency and that is something you learn along the way. My thought process started in one direction but with time all things change. So along with adjusting my process, I knew I had to connect my business to everyday people, and everyday life. This went for every business idea I started and continue to move forward with.
Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
My photography is a whole other world to me. I love watching small brand flourish into the new and improved quality brand with just a few professional images. Imagining can make or break a brand! If felt easy cause it’s what I love, the challenge came in valuing my art. Showing that it’s much more than pressing a button. It’s art and creativity creating an branded and solid image for your product, plant, or service! Nothing you plan ever works out the way you planned it’s just go with the flow!! That’s the best advice. I want small business to know that you don’t have to break your back or your bank to get your brand looking clean and professional from the start!
Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
We would definitely walk balboa park, head to Tacos el Gordo for lunch, sunset cliffs for a small neighborhood hike, then to Azúcar for pastelitos, and end at seaport village for dinner! I’m all about food!!
The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
There are so many of you to shout out! So many influential souls in the cannabis space, especially in San Diego that have helped me in their own way, to guide me to where I want to be. Party With Ari! Cosmetics, Boycott Shitty Weed, Canna Mom Gang, Taking the Trash Out, and SdCannablogger just to name a few! I’ve had so many special people in my life and they all know who they are!! Thank you for believing in me!
