Meet Hannah Cooper, MS, RD | Registered Dietitian & Content Creator

We had the good fortune of connecting with Hannah Cooper, MS, RD and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Hannah, can you walk us through the thought-process of starting your business?
I always knew I wanted to start my own private practice as a dietitian. During my dietetic internship and masters program I realized I thrived in the 1:1 nutrition counseling sector. Working with individuals who are motivated about their health and improving their overall wellness is my passion (or something you might say).
Growing up, I was always in the kitchen crafting recipes that were healthy and the opposite of boring. I find that when people think about “healthy eating” they tend to think you have to eat lots of boring flavorless meals or opt for a fad diet. I like to work with my clients to breakthrough this myth and show them they can enjoy all the foods they love in a balanced diet and meet their wellness goals.
Can you give our readers an introduction to your business? Maybe you can share a bit about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
I run a private nutrition consulting practice, Hannah Cooper Nutrition Consulting, where I work with individuals to break free from the fad diet cycle, improve their eating habits through small sustainable changes, and fuel their bodies for peak performance. I started my business during covid which proved to be slightly challenging but allowed me to reach clients all over the US through telehealth. I have been fortunate to work with a wide array of clients ranging from high school students to professional athletes, as well as work with a handful of health and wellness brands!
When I am not working with clients, I like to create educational content and recipes for my social media platforms. I really enjoy showing my followers that healthy eating doesn’t have to be hard, boring, or time-consuming, which is why the majority of my recipe videos provide meal inspiration that takes less than 30 minutes to make.
If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
I love this question, I am actually the go-to person for my friends when they need recommendations for visitors!

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
I’d like to give a little shoutout to my parents who have cheered me on through my career every step of the way and also my friends who have tried countless recipes, explored new restaurants, and acted as a sounding board for all my ideas.
