Meet Gloria Alejandra | Interior Designer & Photographer

We had the good fortune of connecting with Gloria Alejandra and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Gloria, what do you attribute your success to?
Well, I think the most important part for me is that I have always had the support of my parents. This brand started thanks to my dad’s company and the desire to make it grow even more. Another key factor is that every product within our brand is completely made by us, we look for the best solution for our customers, as well as the best suppliers so that everything is to their total liking. Additionally, I believe that being constant and fighting for what I want has been of utmost importance for the growth of my brand. It is also important to be authentic and different from others and to be fully aware of what you are offering to customers, so that they can recognize you for what you do.

Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
Well, it has been a complicated process. I am the founder of two brands, an interior design studio and a photography studio… being in charge of both studios has been very consuming for me in recent years where there has been many times when I have wanted to give up, but I think this is part of the process of undertaking, which we believe is easy but it’s actually not! You have to sacrifice and prioritize many things to be able to achieve what you want, but once you get there and see how you are growing, both professional and personally, there is no turning back, because that is when you say, “I won’t give up!” Life has and will have many obstacles, but the challenge is to know how to manage them in order to keep going.
I think the biggest risk I have taken was to open my interior design studio in the middle of the pandemic; I did not know if it was really going to work because of the situation the world was going through or if I would be capable of being in charge of it!
I’ve learned that everything in life is a risk, but that is what it is about, you have to believe in yourself and trust in what you are doing. I strongly believe that with determination and perseverance, anything can be done.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
Uff, here in Culiacán, Sinaloa, there is the Botanical Garden (Jardin Botanico) that I love because it is an outdoor space that transmits peace and serenity. Apart from that, they always have cultural events and different exhibitions of cultural works there. I would also definitely take them to eat seafood because that is something common here and go to Altata which is a beach that is a few minutes from the city. Lastly, I would love to take them to a bar to hang out, have a few drinks to vibe together, and have a good time!

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
I believe that all the people around me in one way or another have been part of this adventure, since they have given me support and advice which has made me grow and reflect on what I am doing. Without a doubt, the greatest recognition goes to my parents and sisters, who have always been there for me supporting me in everything I need. They were the ones who encouraged me to grow in this adventure of entrepreneurship. Also, another amazing support group are my friends who in the same way have always been there for me and have given me advice on how to be a better person both personally and professionally. Since day one, they have always been supporting me.
