We had the good fortune of connecting with Georgette Ayaz and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Georgette, what led you to pursuing a creative path professionally?
I pursued an artistic and creative career because it allows me to express myself in ways that feel authentic and fulfilling. Creativity has always been a way for me to channel my emotions, thoughts, and experiences, whether through fashion, music, or content creation. I’ve always been drawn to the power of art to connect people, tell stories, and inspire change. My brand, Gorgezze, reflects this passion by merging fashion, beauty, and holistic wellness, and it gives me the opportunity to not only create but also empower others to feel beautiful inside and out. Through my work, I aim to help people tap into their own potential and embrace their unique voices through fashion, music, and art.

Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
My art and work with *Gorgezze* are truly extensions of my passion for fashion, beauty, and holistic wellness. What sets *Gorgezze* apart from others is its unique blend of fashion and empowerment, focusing not just on looking good, but on feeling good from the inside out. It’s a brand that’s deeply rooted in sustainability, self-expression, and inspiring people to live their best lives by embracing their inner beauty alongside the external.

Getting to where I am today professionally has been anything but easy. I’ve faced numerous challenges—whether it was finding the right people to work with, navigating the complexities of the fashion industry, or overcoming self-doubt. There were countless moments when things didn’t go as planned, but I always had a clear vision of what *Gorgezze* could be. That vision kept me grounded and motivated, even when things got tough.

The key to overcoming these challenges was perseverance and surrounding myself with a community that believed in my mission. I learned that success doesn’t happen overnight, and you have to be willing to push through the setbacks. Each trial only made me more determined to refine my brand and ensure that *Gorgezze* reflected my core values—authenticity, creativity, and wellness.

I want the world to know that *Gorgezze* isn’t just another fashion label; it’s a movement. It’s about empowering individuals—whether they’ve experienced trauma, struggled with self-image, or just want to feel amazing inside and out. It’s about creating fashion that’s not only beautiful but also meaningful. The journey has taught me that vision and passion, when combined with resilience, can make even the toughest dreams come to life. I’m incredibly proud of how far we’ve come, and I’m even more excited for what’s to come.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
If my best friend was visiting San Diego for a week, I’d make sure they had an unforgettable time by hitting all my favorite spots! Here’s how I’d plan it:

Day 1: La Jolla Adventures
We’d start in La Jolla, exploring the iconic *La Jolla Cove* and watching the sea lions bask on the shore. Afterward, we’d visit *La Jolla Shores* for some paddleboarding or kayaking through the caves. For dinner, we’d hit up *Duke’s La Jolla* to enjoy seafood with a stunning ocean view.

Day 2: Beach-Hopping Day
We’d spend the day visiting San Diego’s beautiful beaches—starting at *Torrey Pines State Beach* for a morning hike along the cliffs, then head to *Pacific Beach* for lunch at *JRDN* right on the boardwalk. We’d end the day at *Mission Beach* for a sunset ride on the rollercoaster at *Belmont Park*.

Day 3: Balboa Park & Little Italy Eats
We’d spend the day at Balboa Park exploring the museums, gardens, and maybe catch a show at the Old Globe Theatre In the evening, we’d head to Little Italy for some of the best Italian food. Dinner at *Born & Raised* or *Bencotto* would be the perfect way to cap off a day full of culture and art.

Day 4: Coronado & Relaxation
We’d take the ferry or drive over to *Coronado Island*. After a morning spent on the white sands of Coronado Beach*, we’d grab lunch at the historic Hotel del Coronado. We’d spend the afternoon biking around the island, visiting the shops, and enjoying the laid-back vibe.

Day 5: Outdoor Fun & Festivals**
If we’re lucky enough to visit during the spring or fall, we’d definitely hit up the *CRSSD Festival* for some amazing techno and house music by the waterfront. If not, we’d spend the day at *Liberty Station* exploring the public market, or even hike *Cowles Mountain* for a rewarding view of the entire city. We’d grab dinner at *Stone Brewing World Bistro & Gardens* to wind down (minus the beer).

Day 6: Food & Nightlife
We’d dedicate a day to foodies! Start the day with brunch at *Great Maple* in Hillcrest, then make our way back to *Little Italy* to try some of the best pizza at *Mona Lisa Italian Foods*. For the night, we’d head downtown to the *Gaslamp Quarter* for some fun and dancing at *Oxford Social Club.

Day 7: Relaxation and Farewell**
For the last day, we’d take it easy by relaxing at Sunset Cliffs Natural Park, enjoying the breathtaking views. A final dinner at *George’s at the Cove* in La Jolla would be the perfect send-off, watching the sunset and savoring coastal cuisine.

Throughout the week, we’d meet friendly locals, explore the most picturesque spots, and soak up the San Diego sunshine. It would be a mix of beach vibes, foodie adventures, and unforgettable experiences!

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
I’m going to dedicate this shoutout to a whole crew of people and things that have shaped me:

1. The Strong, Independent Women in My Life: First and foremost, a huge shoutout to my amazing mom, grandma. These women are the epitome of strength, resilience, and independence. They taught me to believe in myself, to chase my dreams, and to never let anyone tell me I couldn’t do something. They are my rock, my inspiration, and my constant reminder that women can do anything they set their minds to.

2. The Empowering Female Artists: From the unapologetic pop power of Dua Lipa to the fierce confidence of Emily Ratajkowski, and the artistic boldness of Charlotte de Witte, these women have fueled my passion for music and self-expression. Their work is a testament to embracing individuality, pushing boundaries, and challenging norms.

3. The Electric Pulse of the EDM Community: The energy, passion, and inclusivity of the electronic dance music scene have always been a source of joy and connection for me. Whether it’s the thumping basslines, the dazzling lights, or the shared experience of dancing the night away, EDM has provided a space for self-expression, community, and pure, unadulterated fun. It’s a reminder that life is meant to be lived with passion and a little bit of madness.

4. Charli, My Loyal Jack Russell Terrier: Last but not least, I’m dedicating this shoutout to my furry best friend, Charli. This tiny, 15-year-old terrier has been by my side through thick and thin, offering unconditional love, unwavering loyalty, and a dose of playful chaos whenever I need it most. Charli is my constant companion, my furry therapist, and a reminder that even the smallest beings can leave a huge paw print on our hearts.

These incredible women, artists, a community, and my faithful canine companion have shaped me into the person I am today. They deserve a huge thank you for their love, support, and inspiration. They remind me to embrace my own strength, creativity, and the power of connection.

I hope this shoutout shines a little light on them and all the incredible people who have shaped us all.
