We had the good fortune of connecting with Gabrijela Stanze and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Gabrijela, do you have any habits that you feel contribute to your effectiveness?
The single most important habit to cultivate, in my opinion, is to simply keep your word. It is amazing how many people over promise and under deliver – Find success in under promising and over delivering.

Alright, so for those in our community who might not be familiar with your business, can you tell us more?
Restoring and re-opening a historic hotel was a lot more challenging and time consuming than I had anticipated. Although I had designed and launched several short-term rental properties in the past, working around historic obstacles, such as not being able to add additional bathrooms, or attaching anything to the outside of the building, really required creativity to pull it all together. In my experience, guest love the historic aspect of a building until they realize that back in the day there were not electrical plugs to charge their cell phones or plug in a curling iron. I am most proud of the fact that we appear to have succeeded in our mantra of preserving history while blending in modern comforts – I have yet to receive a complaint.

My Company’s mission is to create an environment I would personally be comfortable in staying and only produce event’s I would be proud to attend. Hospitality is simple, love it (or you’ll go crazy), take pride in what you do, and under promise and over deliver.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
Temecula is a wonderful area to visit!

Of course, book the Palomar Inn Hotel in the heart of Old Town Temecula to experience a piece of history during your visit. When you come back from a fabulous day in wine country, you can just step outside your door to grab a bite to eat and listen to some live music without having to drive – major bonus!

Call Tim of Temecula Executive Limos to book your wine country experience. You want to enjoy our delicious wines without having to worry about drinking and driving. Tim and I can custom create a memorable day in wine country for your group, including lunch, wine tasting, private tours, and anything else you can dream up,

Upon your return, get ready at the hotel to hit the town. Old Town has a variety of fabulous restaurants to choose from. From a hamburger at a lively bar, to authentic Italian cuisine, to fine dining steakhouses. we have it all.

After dinner, do some country line dancing at the Stampede, enjoy a live blues band at the Old Town Blues club, or check out the wine & beer garden if you are more into live rock’n’roll bands. Bailey’s restaurant turns into a posh nightclub afterhours with an indoor/ outdoor area and table service.

If you are lower key and prefer privacy, the Palomar Inn hotel’s yard can host your entire group outdoors around the firepit for a casual get-together. If you prefer to host a private event in the yard, with catering for your guests, we can arrange for that as well. Or perhaps you want to elope while in Temecula – we have many wedding packages we offer that are budget friendly and memorable. More bonus points – your rooms are included.

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
When I moved to Temecula in the early 2000’s I fell in love with the small-town feel of Old Town Temecula. I grew up in Europe, hence it reminded me of the community feel I had left behind to find my way in the huge state of California. Living in Old Town, I couldn’t step out of my little one-bedroom apartment without running into someone I knew; exchange a few words and/ or share a cup of coffee with. At that time in my life, I really needed the soothing feel of a small town. The Palomar Inn hotel owner is also my former tiny one-bedroom landlord. We kept in touch throughout the years. Once the pandemic hit and his occupancy dwindled (the hotel was built in 1927 with only 2 shared bathrooms) he closed it down. Loving the corner of Old Town Front and Fifth Street, the very heart of Old Town Temecula, and the corner of many fond memories where this iconic hotel building stands, I set out to annoy him long enough to let me revive the hotel. I drew inspiration from the hotel’s history, the town, and its residents. Since our re-opening, with the help of several newer and older Temecula residents, we have earned all 5* reviews so far. We have hosted a number of free community events in our hotel yard and will continue to do so to show our appreciation to the city of Temecula and its residents. Thank you for the help and support you have giving us – We couldn’t have done it without this wonderful community!
