Meet Frida Silva | Founder of Elemant

We had the good fortune of connecting with Frida Silva and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Frida, how do you think about risk?
There is a risk in everything we do when it comes to growth. Feeling stuck or in a place where we can’t feel evolvement is a very soul crushing place to be. We all deserve growth, freedom, inspiration, and creativity and that comes with taking risks, going your own way, and possibly breaking the mold. I am a firm believer that things always work themselves out for the better. Even if we can’t see where the road leads.
Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
I have always been inspired by esthetics. Beauty in different forms feed my soul, wether it is nature, places, people, objects, or art. Beauty inspires and ignites me and Elemant keeps feeding that, as-well as the creative and artistic process. I have worked with esthetics since my very first job and have somehow always found esthetics to be the common thread. What I have learned, and I am leaning into more each year, is to follow that which makes you feel good and inspired. When your body and intuition is guiding away from something it is always right.
If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
I would take my friend to a breakfast, hike and farmers market in pacific palisades. We would do lots of sunset walks on the beach. Go to beautiful hikes in Palos Verdes and do an evening at Terranea. Manhattan beach has some nice restaurants, like the post and esperanza and we can get to those from my house by bikes. We might stroll on abbot Kinney one day and find a restaurant for a few drinks and some food, Gjelenas is a favorite of mine but there are plenty. If she is into art we can see if it coincides with the art walk in LA or if the artist loft in Torrance has an open house. I’m sure she would want to see the malls aswell and century city mall or 3rd street are good options. And then there is Palm Springs which is always a nice option for a small trip within a trip. There is so much to do in LA, and the options are really endless.
Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
My sisters have been a big part of my support. My sister Anna is a graphic designer in Copenhagen and has had a big part in the esthetic and creative process of helping me develop and build my brand. I also lean on a small group of close friends. And of course my faith is what helps me feel grounded and guided.
