We had the good fortune of connecting with Evan Enslow and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Evan, is there something you believe many others might not?
Not to take on more than you can handle. I don’t think there is a limit to what one is capable of, but how you get there though, requires foresight. I’ve been told many times to lighten the load by my peers and they weren’t necessarily wrong; instead they helped me realize I just needed to adjust my formula and spread my goals over longer periods. “Never give up,” that one, I hold very dear. Even if I crash and burn, at least I got to drive the car.

Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
I love TV and Movies, I think it’s incredible when a TV/Film series is able to captivate worldwide over decades, generations and worldwide. Video is such a broad art form and also one that can struggle to find that new twist, that new POV. But when it does, I fall in love all over again. I want to play, I want to tell stories! I want to throw caution to the wind and try something new. Risk equates growth. The journey is not easy but I also recognize I’ve had it easier than others. My best talent is tenacity. I’ll go harder, I’ll push farther and I will not live in fear. Every audition, stupid TikTok, phone call with investors feeds me. Looking stupid, making mistakes and failing are part of it. My brand is visceral, it is raw and it is tenacious as hell.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
Wow, hard to narrow that down, I’ve been blessed with an incredible family, friends and mentors over the years. My Mother is easily my biggest cheerleader but my siblings have never made me feel more like my authentic self. Today, in this moment, my spiritual support system is certainly necessary. But above all, my friend and Co-Producer, Erin Anne MacDonald, is my ride or die, work-wife and the most influential source of my success. 13 years in, we still follow each other into the abyss. Erin is creative, talented, unique and understands my producer brain better than anyone. Also, the best darn reader for self tapes this side of the Mississippi!
