We had the good fortune of connecting with Eric Inigo and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Eric Inigo, can you walk us through the thought-process of starting your business?
Starting Sip Social San Diego is rooted in my personal growth and a desire to make a meaningful contribution to my family and community. I’ve always been passionate about learning and pushing my limits, and this was an opportunity to embark on a completely new journey—starting a business. I wanted to build something that I could truly call my own, a legacy for my family, and something my kids could look at and say, “That’s what taking risks and dedication can achieve.”

The inspiration for this came from my diverse background and experiences. I’ve taken on various roles over the years as an educator, real estate investor/landlord, and working in the restaurant and bar industry, and through all these experiences, I found a common theme: creating connections and helping others grow. I knew that these skills could be the core for a business that not only brings people together to celebrate life’s special moments, but also supports other businesses in elevating their brand through unique and memorable experiences.

The idea to pursue this ignited when I came across an opportunity to be part of a growing business with Sip Social Co. and I wanted to take a more hands-on approach. After months of research, due diligence, and careful consideration of the risks, I decided that it was worth taking the plunge. It wasn’t an easy choice, especially coming from a family where entrepreneurship was never discussed. My parents, who immigrated to this country, instilled in me the value of education and securing a stable job. Starting my business was a new and uncertain path, but I viewed it as an opportunity to demonstrate to my kids the value of purpose, hard work, perseverance, and stepping outside of one’s comfort zone.

Ultimately, Sip Social San Diego is about creating something larger than myself. It’s about connecting with people and having a role in creating memorable experiences so they can celebrate special moments in their lives, collaborating with other businesses to continue their growth, and building a legacy that I can pass down to my family. Taking the leap into entrepreneurship has been a rewarding and life-changing path for me to be on.
