Meet Emma Hayden | Couple Photographer

We had the good fortune of connecting with Emma Hayden and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Emma, can you share the most important lesson you’ve learned over the course of your career?
The most important thing my business has taught me is to have faith and trust in my own abilities. When I was thinking of starting a business I was really nervous that my work wouldn’t be good enough or that I wouldn’t be good enough as a business owner. I decided to take the chance and dove into it headfirst and I’ve found that I am so much more capable than I realized. I think this is true for everyone when you put your all into something and have faith in yourself.

Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
I am so excited that I can do something that I truly love. I started doing photography in 2015 and since then I have had the opportunity to take all kinds of photos, from events to families and even pets. Because I have been able to branch out and try so many things I was really able to find what types of photography I enjoy most. The main one being couples! I love being able to capture the love between two people and give them something they and their families can look back on for years to come. I know how special and unique each and every relationship is and I adore hearing a couple’s love story and being able to capture it for them.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
My husband and I have lived here for about two years now and have had the opportunity to do so many fun things! My personal favorite is Disneyland. In my opinion, you can’t come to Southern California without visiting Disneyland! We also love Balboa Park and the San Diego Zoo. As far as food goes, we take everyone who visits us to Sancho’s Tacos. They are, by far, the best tacos I have ever had and I love sharing that with my family and friends.

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
I couldn’t be where I am today without my parents! They bought me my first camera when I was a teenager and have helped and supported me through my entire journey as a photographer.
