We had the good fortune of connecting with Emily Worsham Johnson and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Emily, what inspires you?
My parents have been a great source of inspiration in my life. Growing up, I saw firsthand the incredible accomplishments of my mom, who was a successful businesswoman in the male-dominated business world of the 80s. She broke barriers for women in the industry and proved that it was possible to balance motherhood and a career. Her courage, determination, and hard work were key factors in her success, and I have always looked up to her as a strong role model.

But my mom’s success was not achieved alone. My dad has also played an integral role in their journey. Together, they ran a successful business, with my mom at the helm, and have been married for over 40 years. My dad even gave up a career he was passionate about to support her and help grow the company. He was not afraid to take on the role of Mr. Dad, which was uncommon for men at the time. Their partnership and dedication to each other have been a true inspiration to me.

What should our readers know about your business?
For the love, LV is a Las Vegas boutique that is all about upgrading wardrobes and bringing love to everyone who walks through our doors. The boutique offers a diverse selection of both men’s and women’s clothing, local art & many local makers. It is much more than just a clothing store. It is a place of inclusivity, art, and love, where customers can feel welcomed and embraced.

Running a small business while also being a mother to four children can be a challenging task. Juggling the responsibilities of running a business with the demands of parenthood is alot and our family balances this with lots of purpose behind our motives.

Our family focuses on finding gratitude daily… even in the hard times.

We are authentic and honest, plus we have a sense of humor!

We are inclusive, welcoming and make time for people.

We will greet you with a smile and hope to develop lasting relationships.

Our goal is to provide a space where people know that they are valued and have worth.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
Our love for the Arts District stems not only from the fact that our store is located here, but also because of the amazing food options available and all locally owned. To start my day of eating out in the Arts District, I would head to Vesta for a delicious cup of coffee. I prefer to keep it simple and order a pour-over black, as the amazing flavor of their high-quality beans needs nothing extra.

In need of brunch? Makers & Finders is a bustling hotspot for brunch on the weekends, but it also serves incredible Latin American comfort food a plus they have bottomless mimosas.

For lunch I’d head to The Good Pie its a favorite among our staff and ours kids, as we can’t get enough of their amazing pizzas.
One thing we love about this pizza joint is the quick and easy ‘walk-up window’ service. However, we also enjoy hanging out inside the restaurant, which has a great atmosphere. Our go-to orders are the Grandma Quality Meat with Mike’s Hot Honey, and the Brooklyn Pepperoni with Mike’s Hot Honey.

For dinner, I would love to take you to Main Street Provisions, a woman-owned American comfort food restaurant. For our meal, I highly recommend starting off with some fresh oysters and the Short Rib Dumplings. As for entrees, you can’t go wrong with any of their delicious steaks. Don’t forget to also try their savory Corn Bread Muffins and refreshing Triple B Salad.

With all the fantastic food options available in the area, my go-to spot for entertaining friends and family who are willing to break a sweat is 103 Yoga. This yoga studio is owned by one of my best friends.

While they offer a variety of yoga and non-heated classes on their schedule, my favorite is Julie’s 60-minute Hot Bootcamp class. It’s an invigorating workout that leaves you feeling energized and refreshed. Whether you’re a seasoned yogi or new to fitness, 103 Yoga is a welcoming and inclusive space that offers something for everyone.

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
I would like to give a special shoutout to my incredible family. My four wonderful children keep me busy and drive me a bit crazy at times, but they bring me more joy than anything else in the world. My husband, the love of my life, is my high school sweetheart, and there has never been anyone else I would rather spend my days with. I know it may sound corny, but it’s true!

I am also grateful for my amazing parents, who have always been my biggest supporters and have modeled what generosity and hard work look like throughout their lives. They have been an inspiration to me in so many ways, and I am grateful for their love and guidance.

Last but not least, I have two wonderful brothers who not only tolerate me but love me unconditionally. They have been a constant source of support and humor in my life, and I am grateful for the special bond we share. I am blessed to have such a wonderful family, and I am grateful for each and every one of them.
