We had the good fortune of connecting with Dr. Darcy White and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Dr. Darcy, what habits do you feel play an important role in your life?

What I’ve learned this year especially is that your habits can really make or break your success. Before I started my own business I was pretty inconsistent with my daily routines. I’d wake up late in the morning, somewhere between 9 am-11am. Sometimes I’d start the day with a workout or my spiritual practices, other times I’d freestyle in some other order. Part of this was due to having an inconsistent work schedule. As a vacation relief doctor of chiropractic I didn’t have a set schedule as I’d only work when chiropractors I connected with needed time off (I’d take care of their clients while they were away). Outside of coverage in clinics I’d work as an independent contractor in the food and beverage industry. The other part of my irregular morning routines was that I wanted to recover from my rigid schedule of academia- I just completed the last two of my chiropractic national board exams before I graduated and relocated from the Bay Area down to San Diego. Needless to say I was pretty exhausted.

However, my own inconsistencies reflected my lack of clarity about what was most important on any given day. I no longer had a pre-set schedule and after 8 years of college life, I had the freedom to make my own. However, the pressures of entrepreneurship quickly shifted this. It truly illuminated that how I start my day is one of the most integral parts of my well being and the success of my business. The shifts that followed improved both my inner and outer worlds.

Present day, I wake up anywhere between 6am-7:30am. I dedicate my first waking hours to my spiritual practices. This includes prayer as well as my tools and training from the Modern Mystery School tradition. Then I dedicate about 45 minutes or 1 hour to exercise. This is a ranges from yoga, weight lifting and walking outside. Then I take about 15-20 minutes to meditate. Sometimes this looks like journaling a list of gratitude, passively mediating or both. I may also make myself a cup of tea or coffee while I journal. Doing these combinations of activities helps me to center myself before I look at my list of objectives or going to my office.

As an entrepreneur it’s easy to focus on the wrong things or get distracted. However, by implementing a morning routine, I am able to dial in my focus by filling up my own cup before stepping out into service to my community. What I love the most about how I choose to start my day is that I lead with honoring my spiritual self and harmonizing my soul before I direct my energy and attention to mental and physical matters. Everything is the energy you bring to it and I want to bring the highest vibration possible.

A few more words on exercise. As a woman I’ve found that synchronizing the intensity of my workouts to each phase of my monthly cycle has been a game changer. For instance during my menses (day 1-7) I let myself rest more and do very gentle exercises. The first two weeks afterwards (day 8-13) I gradually increase the intensity of my exercise as during this phase there’s more energy becoming available due to the shifts in hormones. During the ovulatory phase (day 14-21) I lift heavier as there’s a peak in energy during the ovulatory phase. Then during day 22-28, my energy drops again as the body prepares for the next menstrual cycle and so I honor this with more gentle and light exercise.

As a former athlete I used to constantly push myself physically regardless of shifts in my energy levels due to monthly hormonal changes. However, I see a wider range of benefits in my business by following my female hormonal cycle. I find that synching with it also helps me gauge my output physically and even mentally on my business. This exercise flow has been a great habit to adopt and I suggest that all female entrepreneurs try it out for themselves and see how it works for them. Of course there are moments and times as a business owner where fully synching the business output with my hormonal cycle may not be conducive so follow your own discernment. For instance, sometimes a big event lands in a low energy part of my cycle ( the 3 days before starting menses) and that just is what it is.

Alright, so for those in our community who might not be familiar with your business, can you tell us more?

The purpose of my practice is to guide individuals on a transformative journey, helping them reconnect with their inner source of energy. I believe that vibrant health, fulfillment, and purpose are not just aspirations but personal responsibilities. I facilitate your individual ability to respond effectively to life’s challenges, fostering growth, learning, and evolution.

I am dedicated to expanding awareness on all levels—physical, mental, emotional, soulful, and spiritual. Therefore I primarily offer my practice members two types of services: NetworkSpinal Chiropractic and Lineage Activations. The activations, specifically the Life Activation and Full Spirit Activation, enhances each individual’s potential for positive and lasting changes in both their life and overall well being.

In collaborating with me you can liberate your bound energy (tension) and harness it to fuel the changes you desire; leading you to greater freedom and coherence in both your body and your life. My purpose is to support those who are genuinely committed to being leaders in their lives, health, and impact the world for the better.

I strive to shift the collective consciousness by first empowering individuals, then extending that transformation to the broader community. Please note that my approach may take a minimum of 6 to 9 months to witness significant clinical progress. It is for this reason, I prefer to collaborate with people who are committed to their healing journey. Throughout this process I’ll keep you accountable for the life you desire by reminding you of your original goals and celebrating the wins as they are achieved.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?

While I would love to entertain and host a friend for a week, realistically I have up to 3 available days any given week so here are things we would do for those 3 days:

I would take them to the San Diego Botanical Gardens then go down south to Rudy’s Taco Shop for lunch. After that hang out at Solana Beach for some ocean time.

Another day would look like going to brunch at Shorehouse Kitchen in La Jolla then hang out in La Jolla Cove. I love grabbing some sweets at Bobbi Natural Gelato. Then go to Mt Soledad for sunset.

The third day we’d go to the Japanese Friendship Garden and museum. I’d take them to an art class at the garden; my favorite one is the Japanese Kintsugi. After exploring some of the other museums and gardens at Balboa Park, I’d take them to Extraordinary desserts which always has something unique and yummy.

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?

I’d like to dedicate my Shoutout to Erin Wallace who is my spiritual Guide in the Modern Mystery School Tradition. Without her I wouldn’t have the spiritual tools and trainings that I use every day and I’m forever grateful for her support and service.

She is currently a best selling author and her most recent release is titled “Spiritual Shortcuts: 7 Simple Keys to Unlock Your Potential” which can be found on Amazon and Barnes and Noble.
