Hi Dee Dee, we’d love to hear more about how you thought about starting your own business?
Every business I have started was because I had a passion for it or enjoyed doing it. If you don’t enjoy your job then you need to find what you love because you are more successful if you do something that you love, enjoy or are passionate about.
Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
Orphaned Bears and Rabid Varmints

This project was developed while trying to calm my panic attacks and anxiety. I always had an interest for the strange so I started creating this unusual art. Being bullied growing up gave me an understanding for those who are different and these bears and rabbits are definitely unusual.
The back story unfolds as I am a recluse who lives in the Mythical Forest, I rescue Road kill and bring them back where I stich and assemble them back together using anything I can find to patch them up . I use my imagination to make them unique and they all live together with me in the Mythical Forest.
Since 2010 I have created (rescued) 27 Rabbits and Bears. In 2023 I started a YouTube Channel with writer Boris Amado, and of course this is also located in “The Mythical Forest”
Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
Well since I am a bit of a recluse, I would highly suggest they stay at home with me in Southern CA at “The Mythical Forest” and lay in the hammock relaxing and eating some freeze dried fruit and then help me feed the chickens, eat fresh eggs in the morning, harvest some vegies from the garden for lunch and in the evening chew on some freshly cut sugar cane while sitting on the hill watching the sun set on the mountain. No need to go anywhere else !
The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
