Meet Danielle Schulz | Founder of The Triangle Sessions | Ex-Dancer

We had the good fortune of connecting with Danielle Schulz and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Danielle, what do you attribute your success to?
Honestly, it’s the relationships. The success I’ve had so far comes from making genuine connections…showing up with warmth, listening well, and finding moments of joy or laughter along the way. I don’t have a big marketing machine behind me, just word-of-mouth and trust built one real conversation at a time.

Alright, so for those in our community who might not be familiar with your business, can you tell us more?
The Triangle Sessions is a workplace wellness and team-building company that helps teams move, connect, and actually enjoy themselves (yes, even on Zoom). We lead yoga sessions, mindful resets, creative team bonding, etc. It’s all designed to help people feel more human at work.
What makes us different? We focus on what works…efficient, engaging sessions that feel good and actually make an impact. My background as a professional dancer taught me how to read a room, stay present, and bring good energy…skills I now use with clients instead of choreographers.
I started this business while becoming a mom of two and moving from NYC to Charlotte. It’s been a juggle, but it’s also made me scrappy, curious, and way more resilient. The biggest lesson? People don’t need more “content.” They need connection. That’s what we’re here to create.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
We’re still getting to know Charlotte, but here’s a solid top 5 for when friends visit. Luckily for us, a lot of it is close to us in Ballantyne.
1. OMB at the Bowl at Ballantyne – I love a good wheat beer, and this spot has become a go-to. Nice atmosphere, great food (not just for a pub), and it’s just a stone’s throw from home.
2. U.S. National Whitewater Center – Whether we’re climbing, paddling, zip-lining, or just grabbing a beer by the water, it’s a satisfying combo of adventure and chill.
3. Cane Creek Park – A fun surprise find! It’s peaceful, spacious, and feels like a total escape without going too far.
4. RayNathan’s BBQ – Because no visit is complete without something smoky and delicious. This place totally delivered.
5. Goodyear Arts + The Mint Museum – A little bit of edgy and a little bit classic. I love that Charlotte has both!

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
Absolutely. There’s no way I got here alone. First, my mom deserves a huge shoutout. She’s been my biggest cheerleader from the start. She taught me how to show up fully, keep going when things get hard, and take care of myself in the process.
More recently, moving to Charlotte has reminded me how generous people can be. From local entrepreneurs who’ve shared their time and wisdom to new friends who’ve shown up with genuine support. It’s made a big difference.
And I have to thank SCORE. I connected with mentors there who’ve been incredibly helpful. Their guidance has given me structure AND helped me course correct along the way.
