We had the good fortune of connecting with Chris Pinar and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Chris, what is the most important factor behind your success?
Valuing quality over quantity in the products we make, finding solutions for custom requests, and ensuring customer satisfaction,


Alright, so for those in our community who might not be familiar with your business, can you tell us more?
T2Woodworks specializes in 3D woodcarving, military emblematics and awards, laser engraving, digital design, and custom woodwork. Our approach to customer service is to provide solutions to custom requests, and a personalized experience with all our clients. This has been a life-long journey but things really started picking up for our business when the Covid pandemic started. Originally, the idea for our business was to build custom furniture and fine woodwork options for our clients. After acquiring a small CNC carving machine, the landscape for us changed. We quickly realized there was a large market for personalization and ability to operate in a small scale production environment

while still maintaining the ability to provide customized options for customers. We have been fortunate to now fit two medium sized CNC carving machines and a large format laser engraver in our shop as well.

As with any business, it takes countless unpaid hours to not only start, but to keep running. It’s more a labor of love than a money making pursuit at this point, but I wouldn’t have it any other way. Just having the opportunity to pursue this dream has been immeasurably satisfying and has been chock full of life long learning lessons that is difficult to put value on….which leads to challenges faced…

I think any business owner can easily write several volumes about challenges they faced while growing and starting a business, especially from scratch. I think one of the toughest challenges we had to learn (and are still learning) is how to mitigate damage to our items during shipping while doing so economically and efficiently. I’m convinced package handlers play football with our shipped boxes while in transit, so it’s been a challenge from the beginning to say the least.
In the end, despite the long hours and challenges, the smile on our clients’ faces when they receive something from our shop is a huge part of what keeps us going.

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
There are countless individuals that were integral in T2Woodworks arriving to where we are today. Family, friends, and client support are the cornerstone to our success.
