Hi Chef T, what role has risk played in your life or career?
When you think about taking risks, it’s like deciding if something is worth trying even if it might not work out perfectly. I believe risks are important as long as they lead to good things. For me, taking risks has been a big part of my life and job. For example, when I started my own business, it paid off big time within just two months. This success led to cool opportunities like catering for MTV’s Wild ’N Out.
Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
What sets my culinary approach apart is the fusion of Latin and African flavors, creating a unique dining experience. Additionally, I incorporate additives like CBD, known for its positive health benefits, allowing diners not only to enjoy flavorful meals but also to nurture their bodies.
I’m particularly excited about my latest venture into organic farming, a project I’m currently pursuing through academic studies. This endeavor will enable me to not only prepare meals but also grow the ingredients myself, emphasizing sustainability and quality in my cuisine.
My journey to where I am today has been fueled by self-belief and resilience. While it hasn’t been an easy path, maintaining a positive mindset, along with prayer and meditation, has been essential in overcoming challenges and persevering
One of the most significant lessons I’ve learned along the way is the importance of persistence and staying true to one’s dreams. Success, in my view, is the result of continuous preparation meeting opportunities.
In essence, I want the world to know that my brand is about more than just food—it’s a reflection of my passion for innovative cuisine, health-conscious choices, and dedication to sustainable practices. My story is one of determination, growth, and a commitment to making a positive impact through culinary artistry.
Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
If my best friend were visiting for a week, I’d start by taking them to La Jolla Beach, where we could relax on the sand and watch the seals and sea lions basking in the sun. For dining experiences, we’d hit up some of the best spots in town like Havana Grill for flavorful Cuban cuisine, Javier’s for delicious Mexican fare, and Born & Raised for a classy steakhouse experience. Throughout the week, we’d explore the vibrant nightlife in hillcrest , enjoy a day trip to the nearby wine country for tastings, and soak in the stunning views from Cabrillo National Monument. We’d also make time for outdoor adventures like hiking in Torrey Pines State Natural Reserve and exploring the iconic Balboa Park. Overall, it would be a week filled with delicious food, scenic beauty, and unforgettable experiences.

I’d like to dedicate my shoutout to my foremost god, whose guidance has helped me overcome obstacles and achieve success. Additionally, I owe a huge debt of gratitude to my family and friends who have always been there with their support, encouragement, and positivity, providing me with motivation to keep pushing forward. Their love and unwavering belief in me have been instrumental in my journey.
