We had the good fortune of connecting with Bryce Morrison and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Bryce, other than deciding to work for yourself, what else do you think played a pivotal role in your story?
Deciding to work with family and friends. Most business owners tell everyone never to mix family and business, but Jill & I looked at this in a different way. We knew we had something special with Mom Water and the people we trusted most happened to be our family and friends. I’m sure it may not work out for some folks, but for us it was the best decision we made. Our family and friends know us, trust us, and we inherently trust them. It has fostered a culture at Mom Water where we all view each other as family (whether related or not) today. It allows everyone to work for one another and continue to drive success. Mom Water has actually brought our families even closer.

Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
Jill was an Occupational Therapist at a local Long Term Care facility for 20 years while I jumped around several sales positions over the same period of time. Most recently (before Mom Water), I was a community education representative for a local Hospice. We have faced so many challenges since starting Mom Water that, while looking back, it’s crazy to see how far we have come. Nothing good ever comes easy, and we can both attest to that. Having the passion and belief in what we were doing was key to our success. There were so many mistakes and failures early on, that we had to continue to ride the belief that “it will all be worth it”. We just want the world to know that Mom Water is all about the community of fans that support us. Our story shows that anyone can be successful with the right motivation or passion. Our brand will always be thankful, humble, and genuine.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
Jill & I live in rural southern Indiana. Probably the most “iconic” place to visit close to us is Holiday World (an amazing theme and water park). We also are within a couple hours of a lot of Kentucky bourbon distilleries. Mostly in our area, it’s about gathering with friends and family for backyard firepits, grill outs, pool parties, and midwest hospitality. Family and friends are everything for us.

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
All of our family and friends. Our parents, siblings, friends and communities have been amazing. We also couldn’t have done any of this without the awesome Mom Water community of fans that has developed and supported us over the past 3 years.
