We had the good fortune of connecting with Britt Blaesing and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Britt, what was your thought process behind starting your own business?
I have always wanted to be my own boss. My father started his own company when he was 25 and has always worked very hard. This motivated me to work hard and be just as successful as him. I never wanted to be told what to do or how to do something. I have always had really great ‘people skills’ and provided excellent service in everything I’ve done. This skill has helped me be able to work independently and earn more.
Alright, so for those in our community who might not be familiar with your business, can you tell us more?
I am a Realtor & Loan Originator. I started working in my career after I moved across country from my small hometown in Wayne, Illinois to San Diego, California. I worked hard as a server in a restaurant and obtained my real estate license on the side. I later went into the industry full time while also obtaining my loan originating license so that I was a dual licensed agent. I am able to handle my client’s purchase loan and help them buy a house. This sets me apart from many other agents because I am able to handle both sides of the transaction to ensure that it runs smoothly with excellent communication between all parties. I am most proud of all of my buyer’s offers that I helped get accepted over others because of my dual license, full transparency and great communication!
Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
I live in America’s Finest City – San Diego! I absolutely love everything here and there is so much to do and see! I always start out by taking my friends or family to a nice restaurant on the beach to eat and enjoy the ocean waves. Then I like to walk the boardwalk and see the little shops, grab ice cream or just sit out on the beach to relax. I always love visiting La Jolla which is a beautiful upscale beach town with lots of great shops, restaurants and sites to see. Seal beach is always fun to visit and watch all the sea lions swimming and laying out. In the evenings I like to get dinner at a nice seafood restaurant downtown or on the ocean. My favorite is The Marine Room which is right next to the ocean rocks and the waves actually crash up against the restaurant windows! There are so many landmarks in San Diego to also check out and activities to do on the water.
Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
My shoutout is dedicated to my father. He is the most hardworking, smart and humble person I know. I have always aspired to work hard and become just like him. He has taught me great work ethic, responsibility and values.
