Meet Brenda and Cándido Martinez | CEO Que Botanas

We had the good fortune of connecting with Brenda and Cándido Martinez and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Brenda and Cándido, we’d love to start by asking you about lessons learned. Is there a lesson you can share with us?
My husband and I have learned a lot with being New business owners in the food industry. Something we have both learned is to take things slow. We are both very work-a-holic and there was days where we would work full 12hr shifts and having 3 little ones was tough. We took a step back and enjoyed our free time, work is our bread maker but my daughters are definitely a priority. We just have learned to balance our time.
Alright, so for those in our community who might not be familiar with your business, can you tell us more?
I firmly believe that everyone has their own special touch to their food, Que botanas was created in 2018, and it hasn’t been easy. Our biggest challenge was finding the perfect spot to park and being able to open to public. It did take about 4 months to finally be situated. If you have the opportunity to check us out give us the chance to prove why we are so loved in our small town.
Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
Our little village doesn’t have much but it does have some hidden gems like Que Botanad, seven studio who treat you like royalty and Casa Estrella’s whom food and drinks are amazing, it’s definitely a must try!
Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
We’ve had a few mentors In life whom we appreciate for Guiding us. We personally loved reading “Rich Dad,poor dad “. We also have had the opportunity to work along Fallbrook unified,EDCO, and Palomar hospital I appreciate their support to our small business.
