We had the good fortune of connecting with Bianca Corallino and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Bianca, can you share a quote or affirmation with us?
My favorite quote is, “If you feel like quitting, remember why you started.” This quote really resonates with me because there have been times when I thought I wanted to quit and do something else but my passion for my career kept me motivated and to pursue my goals. It is not easy starting a business, but it takes time and patience. My passion is what keeps me moving forward and reminds me that I am capable of reaching my goals. My drive and determination have the power to change everything in my life. This quote helps me stay grounded and focused.

Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
I am a Social Media Strategist which means I manage small business/entrepreneur’s social media accounts. I love to work with local small businesses because it is more hands-on and I can help them grow their online presence. I studied business and marketing in college and I even took some social media classes on the side. It was definitely not easy but I was able to overcome these challenges with perseverance and support from my family. I have learned to follow my instincts when I feel like something is not going to go the direction that I had planned. I want the world to know that you can have more than one passion in life. Along with the work I have done across many social media platforms, I also have also followed my love for indoor cycling by becoming an instructor. I have come to realize that you can still have a successful and fulfilled life even when taking different paths in life than the ones you were expecting.

Any great local spots you’d like to shoutout?
We would kick off the day with brunch at Morning Glory in Little Italy. Next, we would walk around Little Italy to enjoy the trendy atmosphere. I would then take my friend to Pacific Beach to walk along the shore of a classic San Diego location. To help keep our energy up, we would go get some snacks and famous matcha beverages at Holy Matcha in North Park. Later we would wait for our dinner reservation at Buona Forchetta by visiting Kindred right across the street which are both located in South Park.

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
My mom definitely deserves a shout out because she has taught me to always work hard towards my goals and she has given me endless amounts of support. I also want to shout out my cousin who trained me to become a spin instructor. I would not have been able to do it without her. Lastly, “Girl Boss” by Sophia Amoruso and “How to Be an Overnight Success: Making it in Business” by Maria Hatzistefanis are a couple of books that have motivated me to follow my dreams and are what I would highly recommend every entrepreneur and trail-blazer to get their hands on.
