We had the good fortune of connecting with Beatriz Cabrera and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Beatriz, what was your thought process behind starting your own business?
I discovered the benefits of tea when I needed to find a healthier alternative to coffee due to medical issues. Not only did it improve my health, but it also had a positive effect on my skin. This led me to research more about the benefits of tea and eventually inspired me to start my own tea company. It’s incredible how something so simple can have such a significant impact on our well-being.

What should our readers know about your business?
I am thrilled about founding The Beauty Tea Company. Tea is a timeless and beautiful art that offers numerous benefits. However, creating a new brand from scratch is never easy, and positioning it in the market can be quite challenging. Despite the difficulties, the experience has been enjoyable and rewarding. I have experimented with various approaches and obtained different outcomes, but the best part of it all is meeting incredible people and promoting the significance of self-care. The journey has been a steep learning curve, but I wouldn’t have it any other way.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
I would definitely take them to Malibu Farm in Seaport Village for their delicious mini pancakes. Then, a hike in Torrey Pines would be a great activity. For lunch, Miguel’s at Portside Pier would offer an amazing view. For dinner, Il Fornaio in Coronado would be the perfect spot. And if they’re up for some shopping, Cedro’s District is a great option.

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
Donald Miller’s books on delivering a clear message while promoting products have been life-changing for me.
