Meet Audrey Pendergast | Medical Aesthetician

We had the good fortune of connecting with Audrey Pendergast and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Audrey, have you ever found yourself in a spot where you had to decide whether to give up or keep going? How did you make the choice?
Doing aesthetics for 11 years and working through a pandemic and different economic changes you witness the ebs and flows of being really busy and super slow. You start to question your career, but I’ve always stayed committed because the clients you build stay committed as well. Seeing the transformations in the skin and watching your client become more confident makes it all worth it!

Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
I really wanted to help others achieve flawless skin. Once I discovered there was a career for it, I dove head first in the courses and for once in my life, school felt easy. I was initially licensed in Utah where I was able to perform Tattoo removal and laser hair removal services. It was fascinating and challenging all at the same time. For as much as I loved it, my calling to live in California was greater. The state regulations are different everywhere you go so I will say that was a huge lesson learned and although I don’t get to utilize my laser skills, the knowledge alone has helped me expand treatment plans for my clients.
What I would want the world to know about @bod.byAud is my goals are your goals! I want to put all the puzzle pieces together to help you find solutions to become the best version of you. You deserve to feel beautiful, confident, and comfortable in your skin.
Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
Some people have told me I should become a tour guide. I won’t do it, but here are my suggestions. Lol.
The first morning of our adventure week, I would definitely go check out Torrey Pines trail and walk along the beach. Grab lunch at Monarch and take in the ocean views from the rooftop bar. If you really want to make things interesting go have a spa day at YU spa, you’ll get scrubbed head to toe and share a special bond. Once you’re squeaky clean, a nice sushi meal will complete your zen experience. If the Padres are playing, seeing a game is a must! Grabbing a sandwich and taking a drive up to Cabrillo monument to get a 360 view of San Diego in all its glory is a favorite of mine, and last but certainly not least, jump off Sunset cliffs (with caution)!

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
Wow, so many to choose from! I will say everyone I have worked with in the medical field. Plastic Surgeons, nurses, and admin staff. Working with these professionals has helped me become a more well-rounded provider. They have helped me master the consultation process, how to resolve difficult situations, and become confident in my practice.
