We had the good fortune of connecting with Audio Perdisco and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Audio, can you talk to us a bit about the social impact of your business?
Music is one of the many ways to have your voice be heard. As a six piece band it can be difficult for everyone’s voice to shine through, but at the end of the day, we all have a desire to build a strong community that helps each other out. We have been using our platform not only to entertain and get people out of their chairs and onto the dance floor, but also to create an ecosystem of peers that understand that everybody can use a little bit of help in life. To some people’s disbelief, there are a lot more people who want to help than you may think, and as we grow as a band, we want to showcase more of the good in people, find more of those who are willing to offer a helping hand.

Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
We are a six piece indie band that experiments with blues, funk, soul, and other genres that make people want to dance. All of the members of the band have some sort of attachment to the old school music that are parents introduced us to as kids, and with the right curiosity, we like to use those inspirations and combine them to make our music. Our band is also a bit unconventional because we have three guitarists and two drummers. In a sense we have created our own challenges by adopting such a lineup, but we were always excited to see how that vision could create a unique sound, and every band member is very openminded to ideas. It was a bit scary trying to market our band with this setup, but more and more people have showed there amazement for our style, which is always a rewarding feeling.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
We usually have a show every weekend, so there is always an opportunity to see us playing. Whether you are looking for a crowded dance floor and cocktails, want to grab a craft beer at a brewery, or just have fun outside at the end of the day, you can find that at from the venues we play at.

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
We started out playing house shows on top of our bus, many of those hosted at AJ’s parent’s house. We also have taken over a part of Darien’s Parents’ house for our practices. from the bottom our our hearts we cannot thank them enough as well as are other family members for their support in our journey. The encouragement we’ve received from our friends have always pushed us to be better, and we especially could not have gotten to where we are without Eric Stein and Kristina of Poppi photography.
