We had the good fortune of connecting with Arlene Bravo and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Arlene, what led you to pursuing a creative path professionally?
I would say choosing to become a beauty creator has definitely allowed me to show my creative and artistic side through my makeup looks and has allowed me to truly express my self and has just allowed me to become very comfortable in my own skin.

Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
I am most proud of the time and dedication that I put into doing my videos especially after coming home from a full time day job, I literally work 40+ hours and come home and create makeup looks and would do that 3 to 5 days a week, definitely not easy but worth it, although I’m still in the process of growing and still have goals to achieve I would say consistency is key and never give up.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
San Diego is such a beautiful city with many historical locations I would definitely stop at the beaches, visit Chicano park for the Mexican culture,old Town is also a very historic place,the Mexican food here in San Diego is Amazing you definitely have try to “cuatro milpas” it’s a hole in the wall but so worth it .

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
I would have to give my mom the credit for raising me into the hardworking,caring, independent woman that I am today.
