Meet Aoife | Marketing Expert, Founder EFA Digital

We had the good fortune of connecting with Aoife and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Aoife, how has your background shaped the person you are today?
I was born in Vancouver, Canada but would consider myself Irish. My parents are both Irish they lived in Canada for around 5 years when I was born and moved back to Dublin when I was almost three.

In Ireland, it is not unusual for people to emigrate to different parts of the world to work, I grew up watching people close to me live and work abroad for both long and short periods which normalised and encouraged movement and adventure in my career. I have been lucky enough to spend time living and working in Ireland, Canada, the US, the UK and the UAE which has provided so many opportunities for progression and learning. Since setting up my own business, this experience abroad has helped me gain and work successfully with amazing clients across different continents and nationalities.

I also grew up around mostly freelance and self-employed influences (including my parents) who showed me the effort and resilience required to work for yourself but also the possibility of fulfilment and success when creating your own space in your career. Those people have been a huge influence on my career and a constant source of support since deciding to become self-employed.

Can you give our readers an introduction to your business? Maybe you can share a bit about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
I set up Efa Digital in the midst of Covid and multiple lockdowns. I had been working at a global tech company covering marketing for African and European Markets. When travel, event planning and networking in the office were taken away due to the pandemic I started to enjoy my role less and decided it was time to do my own thing. I had previously completed a Diploma in Personal Training and met so many health and wellness practitioners with amazing services and businesses who were struggling to get their message to the right people. So that’s when I decided to set up EFA Digital to bring quality, results-driven marketing services to these smaller businesses doing good in the world.

Our mission now is to connect small businesses doing good in the world with their dream audiences through creative and strategic marketing services & education.

We help clients create fresh, innovative content and campaigns that feel true to their brand. We believe marketing should always highlight your strengths in a never-before-seen kind of way so you stand out from the crowd and connect with your people.

I want to make sure we always feel like a small business that exists just for the client. We want our clients to feel like they’re working with a friend — a knowledgeable, supportive, professional friend! We strive to make marketing upbeat, collaborative, and fun so clients enjoy the entire process.

I have loved every minute of it so far! Being able to work with passionate, driven business owners and bring them real results has been amazing 😊

I want to shout out every amazing entrepreneur or self employed person who has celebrated with me, offered advice or been a shoulder to cry on. I would never have been successful without the support and advice of others.
