Meet Antoinnette Rainey | Chandler

We had the good fortune of connecting with Antoinnette Rainey and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Antoinnette, as a parent, what have you done for you children that you feel has had the most significant impact?
As a parent you hold your child’s hand the whole way through, in hopes your molding a respectful morally inclined productive human being. And through that journey you not only learn so much about this little person, but also yourself. I would hope that I am truly impressing upon my boys that love can be unconditional. Unconditional doesn’t mean allowing others to cross boundaries, but it means loving someone whole heartily they way they show up in the world. Providing support emotionally and in their endeavors, and always maintaining respect.
Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
When I took the leap of faith to pour my all into my business by leaving my full time job in 2021, I wasn’t sure if it was going to work; but there was no turning back. I spent days which turned into months, if coming up candle names, tweaking my candle formula, and trying different vessels. There was a lot to learn during that time, so I won’t call them challenges, because it helped me to build my brand and knowledge to where it is today. Through the years I’ve sculpted my brand to more so reflect who I am as a person. Which is a black woman who is a Los Angeles native, who’s in love with bright colors and amazing scents! Through my candles I am able to connect with others and place a smile on their face and literally light up their day.
If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
If I had my best friend come to town I would go out to so many restaurants in the city. From trying newly opened black owned restaurants like Post & Beam, to trying places I haven’t been yet, like Mama Por Dios. If there’s a concert in town, hopefully Beyoncé we would go check her out. Go hangout at a rooftop restaurant/lounge downtown. Then go with the flow with whichever events popped up.
The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
I want to shoutout my best friends that I love to infinity and beyond; my sons Julian & Maxx. I want to shoutout my support team as well which is none other than my family. I love you all.
