We had the good fortune of connecting with Antoinette Roboz and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Antoinette, can you walk us through the thought-process of starting your business?
It’s what I’ve trained for my whole life. I’m the first-born, first-generation, Arab-American daughter to parents who came here to build a successful life in business. With language and cultural barriers, I was recruited to help with translating and navigating the territory. They owned liquor stores, and as a child, I found myself going up and down the aisles cleaning and reorganizing products. Always taking pride in how the store looked…an entrepreneur in the making. So starting a business was a no-brainer.

It was a matter of the “what”. I have never been one to do what others do, so I knew I wanted to create something you just don’t see out there, and I want it to make a difference in this world.

That’s when Business Gut was born…

Alright, so for those in our community who might not be familiar with your business, can you tell us more?
Business Gut-A Gut First Approach to Business Success

What is that? Nutritional Therapy? For a business owner?
Yes, that’s right. Well sort of, because it’s a lot more than that.

I watched the stress of building businesses take a huge toll on my parent’s health and well-being. Starting my first business I watched so many of my colleagues share their gratitude towards their business, but express the stress, exhaustion, and declining health. I’ve neglected myself many times “for the growth of my business” but guess what? I would burn out.

There’s a never-ending supply of courses, programs, and training (all great of course) but nothing to help business owners maintain or improve their health and build the life routine they need to succeed.

That’s when Business Gut was born.
Taking Nutritional Therapy and other modalities to help business owners get to the root cause of their internal issues, develop a solid routine, and have support in a journey that feels so alone.

Business Gut is building strong business owners and creating a community of entrepreneurs.

This is the most difficult and most fulfilling passion project for me. It’s not a concept I’ve seen out there so creating the framework has been lots of trial, and error, breakdowns, and rebuilds. Wouldn’t trade it for the world.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
First things first, I would take them to The Grounding Sanctuary. Did I mention I have two businesses? Offer them a fire cupping and facial ritual experience to help them release all their stress, problems, and body tension. So that the rest of our week together is floating on clouds.

I wanted to hop online and find popular places to create a spectacular experience, but to be completely honest…I love winging my adventures. I always end up meeting someone somewhere that opens the door to something fun and new. I love taking my friends on these adventures so they can feel the energy of releasing expectations and allowing the universe to give you more than you could have expected.

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
Easy. This is dedicated to my mom who lost her life to cancer two years ago. I created this to give the world the support that she always deserved.

I’m blessed to still have my dad here. Thank you for all of your support in bringing my dream to life.

Lastly, I need to give a big thank you to my beautiful friend, Mayra. You are light in my darkest moments.
