Meet Anthony Garcia-Muñoz | Cinematographer/Studio Owner

We had the good fortune of connecting with Anthony Garcia-Muñoz and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Anthony, can you walk us through the thought-process of starting your business?
My thought process with opening up Panorama Studios was “F**K IT!! Let’s do it!””
A friend let me know about the space, we were going to go in it together but when the time came he had some things come that prevented him from moving forward so i decided to go at it alone.
Once I had the space I wanted to mold it into a creative hub for artist.

Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
My personal work leans more towards fantasy and surreal. I think what sets me apart from others is that I don’t stick to one style of photography/cinematography. I like to experiment with different styles.
That is what I aim to do at Panorama Studios, experiment and push boundaries of what we can create with smaller budgets and creativity.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
I’ll keep it short and just say each day would start off with a different coffee shop, Feliz Coffee in South bay, Despertar Coffee in Logan, Tender Hooligans in Chula Vista, Friend of Friends in National City, Saigon Coffee in North Park, Cafeina in City Heights

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
Sean Horton for taking me under his wing and teaching me the business side of things and to value my work.
Vanessa Silva for helping out on shoots!
