We had the good fortune of connecting with Anthony Alvarez and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Anthony, what’s the most important lesson your business/career has taught you?
Never be afraid to fail. The fear of failing is filled with doubt that could lead you down a path of making unsuccessful choices and will reduces your confidence. You have to faith in what you doing and when you do have set backs or moments failure, and you will, you learn how to move through them and be able to be flexible to overcome them. I see them as opportunities to solidified my success .

Alright, so for those in our community who might not be familiar with your business, can you tell us more?
I have been working on few projects one i just started a full restaurant consultant firm that not just could help with operations but with also with real estate aspect of it. I received my real estate during the pandemic licence to help better understand the process of building a business before you actually start your business. I have now learned that this is a crucial part of being successful long term. So I will be offering services for restaurant real estate which includes lease negotiating and restaurant operations.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
Baby Gee’s in long beach for cocktails or the Varnish in LA, For classic french bistro Perle in pasadena, For Italian factory kitchen or brera in the la arts district

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
The people that have had the most impact in my career is my chef Nancy Silverton but a big shoutout to my dad. He was the one the got me into the restaurant industry and made me really enjoy it.
