We had the good fortune of connecting with Angelika Feldt and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Angelika, why did you decide to pursue a creative path?
I knew ultimately an artistic career would make me the happiest. I pursued photography because I love everything about it. “When love and skill work together, expect a masterpiece” (John Ruskin)
Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
Over the years I specialized myself in Boudoir and Fine Art Nude Photography. Although it irritates some people this specialty seems to be the perfect fit for me. It is not about creating sexual content it is all about women of all ages, shapes and sizes and the story behind it why they come to me, I can relate so well to. My simple magic is to make them see themselves in the best light possible like we all deserve and realize how beautiful they are, feel confident and empowered in their own skin. I am proud to create masterpieces with the inspiration to sell my fine art nude photography at art galleries soon.
Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
Day 1: To admire the best view of San Diego’s skyline we would visit Coronado Island at the Ferry Landing. Then take a stroll through Little Italy and enjoy the best gelato at Pappalecco Cafe. Then walk our way to Brigantine Restaurant on Portside Pier for some Fish Taco’s. Towards the evening continue to Paradise Point Resort & Spa at This Mission Bay to enjoy some cocktails at the scenic hotel waterfront overlooking Mission Bay in San Diego for Sunset. Day 2: For the next day the San Diego Zoo or Safari Park is always fun.
Day 3: One day we would visit Balboa Park and visit one or two exhibits.
Day 4: San Diego in general is best observed from the water and a boat tour on one of the days would be perfect.
Day 5: To enjoy the beach, we would visit La Jolla Cove and book a snorkel or kayak trip.
Day 6: To get a good workout in we would pick one of the many hiking trails in North County.
Day 7: Would be a spa day to rest at one of the great resorts in Carlsbad!
The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
Yes, that is so true. I would like to dedicate the shoutout to my grandparents which gifted me my first camera, my ex-husband who supported my career choice and upmost to Don Early my mentor. He gave me the opportunity to an apprenticeship working in his North Carolina Portrait studio. Finally, to my current partner who always encourages me to be my best.
