We had the good fortune of connecting with Andrijana Milosevic and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Andrijana, other than deciding to work for yourself, what else do you think played a pivotal role in your story?
Other than the decision to work for myself, the most important decision I made that contributed to my success was choosing to fully embrace my creativity and to use it not just for myself, but to help others. I made a conscious effort to act on the ideas that come to mind, big or small, and to turn them into something meaningful for those around me. Whether it’s planning a picnic, organizing a private event, or simply brainstorming and sharing ideas, I genuinely enjoy creating experiences that bring people joy.
That mindset is really what sparked the heart of my business. I realized there’s something special about turning everyday moments into lasting memories, and I wanted to offer that to others. From curated picnics to custom events, I love working closely with clients to bring their vision to life in a thoughtful, creative way.
It’s more than just a service. It’s a chance to connect, celebrate, and make people feel seen. And that’s what keeps me inspired every day.

Can you give our readers an introduction to your business? Maybe you can share a bit about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
Today, there are so many beautiful and dedicated small businesses putting their heart and soul into what they do—and I have deep respect for each of them. I truly believe that we’re all contributing to something greater, each in our unique way.
As someone who’s still relatively new to entrepreneurship, I’ve come to understand that authenticity and uniqueness are what truly set a business apart. There’s room for everyone, and the right clients will always connect with what feels genuine. If you stay true to who you are and what you believe in, it’s only a matter of time before your brand begins to stand out.
With Sun and Sea Soirées, I focus on creating personalized, meaningful experiences—whether it’s an intimate picnic, a private party, or a custom celebration. What excites me most is the ability to turn ideas into memorable moments that people carry with them. That connection—that feeling—is at the heart of everything I do.
The journey hasn’t always been easy. Like most new business owners, I’ve faced challenges, doubts, and plenty of learning curves. But I’ve learned the value of being adaptable—open to change, willing to listen, and eager to grow through feedback. Those lessons have helped shape both me and the brand.
If there’s one thing I’d want people to know about Sun and Sea Soirées, it’s that every detail is done with love, care, and intention. This isn’t just about events—it’s about creating spaces where people feel seen, celebrated, and connected.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
I have a friend visiting this week, and since it’s her first time in San Diego, I’ve been thinking about how to show her as many local gems as possible. We’ll start by driving a bit north to Del Mar and then take the scenic Pacific Coast Highway down to Torrey Pines State Park for a hike—possibly even explore Annie’s Slot Canyon Trail.
Afterwards, we’ll stop for brunch at Caroline’s Seaside Café and grab a coffee at Pinpoint Café, both offering gorgeous ocean views. Once we’re refreshed, we’ll continue exploring La Jolla Cove and Windansea Beach, then make a must-do stop for what I believe are the best shrimp tacos in town—locals know why—at The Taco Stand on Pearl Street. From there, we’ll head to the Pacific Beach and Mission Beach boardwalks for a laid-back coastal stroll, and maybe even try paddle boarding for a bit of fun on the water.
To take a break from the coast, I plan to take her on a tour of our local wine country, exploring some beautiful wineries in the Escondido and Ramona area—Mia Marie Vineyards is one of my favorites. Highland Valley Road is a real hidden gem when it comes to wine, offering a peaceful escape and some truly underrated pours.
Back in the city, Balboa Park is an essential stop in San Diego—with its gardens, museums, and Spanish-style architecture, it’s a place you can’t miss. We’ll take a walk through downtown, explore Little Italy (you really can’t go wrong with any restaurant there, though I always love going back to Kettner Exchange), and then drive over the Coronado Bridge—the views alone are worth it. On Coronado, we’ll visit the historic Hotel del Coronado, and of course, I’ll make sure we stop at Nado Gelato for what I swear is the best gelato I’ve ever had.
And of course, we’ll end one evening with a must-see sunset at Sunset Cliffs, where I’ll set up one of my signature picnic experiences to complete the moment—a perfect ending to a San Diego day.
