We had the good fortune of connecting with Andrea (Kristin Ardor) Hall and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Andrea (Kristin Ardor), how does your business help the community?
Influencer Union (IU) is a global talent agency with broadcasters from all around the world. We have talents broadcasting from the USA, to the U.K., to Southeast Asia.

Started in 2020, our company takes great pride in our internal culture which we like to describe as “a safe place for creatives”. Our broadcasters have a myriad of talents ranging from singing to gaming, and everything in between. Additionally, we are all-inclusive when it comes to age as well- some of our broadcasters are in their 20’s, while others are in their 50’s and 60’s. We do have an audition and interview process, however we believe that every single person has a talent or experiences that can benefit the community.

Since its’ inception, IU has participated in non-profit campaigns annually including “The Longest Day” by the Alzheimer’s Association, and “Extra Life” by the Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals. Through the reach of our broadcasters during their streams, as well as the promotional material about the events on each individual’s social media, we are able to raise awareness and funds that helps millions of people worldwide.

In addition to the volunteer charity work that we do, Influencer Union prides itself on being a top talent agency on multiple streaming apps. We curate and run creative events that the public can participate in (such as gaming competitions, singing competitions and poetry nights). This initiative to create fun events that anyone can participate in helps build communities that tie people together. Many of our broadcasters end up becoming friends with their viewers and other broadcasters, and some of them eventually meet. In fact, IU and another top agency (Kassell) are planning a group trip to the Philippines in 2024 so that all of our broadcasters can finally meet one another! After 4 years doing business together, this is an event that many are looking forward to.

In short; the power of livestreaming comes through the individuals that use their voice on a public platform and, in the case of Influencer Union, we like to bring positivity and community.

Alright, so for those in our community who might not be familiar with your business, can you tell us more?
Before Influencer Union came to be, I was actually an official broadcaster myself. Through first-hand experience, I really came to understand the industry from the inside out.

The lessons I learned from the beginning stuck with me through building the company, and what stuck with me the most is the value of internal culture. For example, you can have a great group of people and if one person begins to disagree with another and it is not handled correctly, it can dissolve the group rapidly. Group conflicts have occurred multiple times along the way, and it is the job of management to understand when to intervene and how to intervene.

We really pride ourselves on keeping IU a “safe space for creatives”.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
My best friend lives in my city, however if they didn’t, I would take them to the beach (of course since we live in Sunny San Diego). We would eat pho at Shank & Bone, grab drinks at Vin de Syrah, and shop up and down the street on Girard St. in La Jolla Village.

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
