We had the good fortune of connecting with Andrea Graves and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Andrea, what do you attribute your success to?
This question is one I hold on to. It is exactly what my business was built on. The most important factor behind my success is 100% God. I was not even sure I could do this until God called me to do it. When He calls you to do something, He has already fully equipped you to do it even if you don’t feel it yet. All He needs for you to do is take the risk and step out in FAITH! I was in the dental field for over 23 years and I was doing very well in my career but I always felt that there was something more. I have always had a heart for people and making them feel good about themselves. It was God who put the idea in my head and then He sent someone very special to me to water that seed and believe in me to do it. I prayed really hard and asked God for wisdom regarding what I was feeling. I finally got the confirmations I needed to just take the leap of faith and trust Him completely. I decided to leave my career of 23 plus years without a single client to my name and just Trust God to guide me. I mean, if He can feed the 5,000 with 5 loaves and two fish, He can certainly send me clients for a business that He has his hand in. Let’s just say, HE CAME THROUGH and continues to do so. He has done exceedingly above what I could have ever imagined. He does not just send me clients, but AMAZING clients. These clients are so sweet, full of love. I have become great friends with most of them believe it or not. A lot of us hang out and are there to support each other in whatever we need. I even pray for many of them and they do the same for me. Not bad for a woman who moved to this area not long ago after a horrible divorce and nothing to my name! God is good let me tell you. He has always come through for me and will do the same for anyone. All you have to do is ask Him.

Alright, so for those in our community who might not be familiar with your business, can you tell us more?
Divine Microblading by Andrea is a business that enhances the look of eyebrows for both men and women. Microblading is a semi permanent procedure that gives the look of real hair. It fills in sparse brows, shapes brows or can give people brows that do not have any due to age, over plucking or some type of illness which causes hair loss. There are many great Microblade artists all over and I am just thankful that I can be a part of the industry. I think what sets me apart from others is just that God is the one who gives me favor. I work hard and I do this for no other reason than to make people feel good about themselves both inside and out. I love the fact that I can talk to my clients about anything and that they are very receptive to conversations. I love how they feel comfortable enough to open up to me and trust me with some very personal things. I take that very seriously and I pray for every one of them. I let them all know that I am here for them if they ever need anything. My clients leave with amazing brows yes but they also leave knowing someone truly cares for them and I truly do. As far as the business side, I was very nervous, especially not knowing anything about starting a business but I quickly found out that when its God’s will, doors open quickly and things happen with ease. It was simply mind blowing how fast all of this came to be and without me knowing a single thing. A huge lesson I have learned in all of this is that yes, God will give you the desire and the confirmation, but none of this would have come to pass if I did not take the risk and step out in faith to do it. I was terrified but I did it anyway. I had to trust that if God said He would have my back, then He would, I just had to take the first step. All I want people to know about my business is that it is all based on love and caring about people and making them feel good abut themselves.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
Well, if my bestie came here from North Carolina, I would definitely take her to many places. I know for a fact that she would love Miguels Cantina in Carlsbad for sure. In and out will always be on her list since they do not have that in North Carolina. Coronado Beach would be another place I would take her followed by Handels Ice cream for sure. We would do almost anything because if you knew anything about us at all, we can literally die laughing until our stomachs hurt just doing anything pretty much. I love her more than anything. We have been besties since we were 5 years old. 41 years to be exact. We would definitely have to visit Saddleback Church in Lake Forest for sure!!!!

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
I have to say that I could have never done any of this without God of course and His Word. He is the one who planted the seed in my heart for the business and His word is where I got my answers. The second person I want to shout out is Chris White. He is one of the owners of Wild Barrel Brewing Co. San Marcos and other locations and Barrel and Stave in Vista, Ca. and Fullerton, Ca. He believed in me when no one else did and he will always hold a very special place in my heart. Thirdly has to be Galdina Jimenez. She is the owner of Nailuscious in Oceanside, Ca. She was kind enough to show me everything I needed to know and she poured positivity into me on a constant and still does. She is always willing to help and I love her for that. I am completely blessed to have these people in my life. Thank you does not even begin to express how I feel. I pray huge blessings on both of their businesses.
