Meet Anastasia Keramidas | Lifestyle Blogger & Marketing Professional

We had the good fortune of connecting with Anastasia Keramidas and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Anastasia, what’s one piece of conventional advice that you disagree with?
“Good things come to those who wait” has never been a mindset that settled well with me, even from a young age. My father came to America at the age of 16 on a ship looking for a better life. He always taught me that success is 20% skill and 80% effort. I began working at my parents restaurants at the age of 14, after college I held two jobs and one internship in order to pay rent and also gain proper experience in the marketing field. Once I was confident in my marketing abilities, I started my blog as a creative outlet that turned into something far greater. I never waited, I was always working hard to get what I needed and I believe that allowed me to be more resilient when things don’t go as planned. I have learned so many great lessons from my failures and I don’t believe I would have had the successes or experiences i’ve had in my life without having gone out of my comfort zone and tried.

Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
My entrance into the marketing/content creation world wasn’t on purpose. I graduated college with a Psychology degree wanting to pursue my PhD in behavioral psychology, so I accepted a job at a startup, OrderUp now GrubHub, in order to save for school and I ended up loving every moment of my time working with thoughtful and creative leaders. It wasn’t easy, I had no experience in marketing nor had I ever taken a course. I learned everything by experience and by essentially “building the plane as I was flying it”. I have worked at amazing companies such as Lyft and Likewise – Bill Gates Venture, i’ve seen companies get acquired, go public and completely switch their mission based on consumer feedback. I love the creativity and innovation that goes along with working in startups in tech, and I believe that is also why I dove headfirst into content creation. @AnastasiaMidas has evolved from a food and recipe blog to more of a digital journal highlighting my daily life, discussing topics such as mental health, family recipes, favorite products and more. I want the world to know that my journey hasn’t been easy or linear, it has taken years of clawing my way to where I am, and I continue to be humbled and continue to learn more everyday. I am so proud of the community i’ve built in my life and my blog and I look forward to continuing to be a transparent and honest creator on social!
