Hello My Name is Ana Fleming. I started as a Freelance Family Photographer with a borrowed camera back in 2017 and grew from there. My love for photography started since my High School Years, I always had a digital camera on hand taking random photos of sceneries and friends. I truly enjoy what I do and have since the. Started my business adventure and brand HerLifeBehindTheLens Photography LLC. My business name is very unique and that clearly represents my work. I chose my business name and wanted it to describe me and not just my first and last name with photography at the end. I wanted it to show what my life is Behind The Lens and it goes way beyond just photography. I love to show case my life, my aspirations, my struggles and also my wins, it’s not always perfect and I feel like that business name really does represent me.

Great, so let’s jump into an update on what you have been up to since we last spoke. What can you share with us?

Was there a moment in your career that you can tell us about that illustrates or demonstrates the kind of person you are, your approach, ethos, etc.
So when I first started doing photography I always found it hard to approach other photographers for guidance or help due to the fact that most of them were very brush off ish lol. So I taught myself a lot of the ins and outs of photography and of course YouTube university also was apart of that journey lol, but ones thing that I always told myself was once I mastered this photography world and had the opportunity to mentor, coach and help other aspiring growing photographers that I was NEVER going to let anyone feel like they couldn’t ask my questions to help them in their journey and I feel like I’ve always done just that. I’ve had the pleasure of meeting sooo many amazing photographers in the community and have created an amazing bond with a lot of them because of how open I’ve been in this journey and can relate to so many. I feel like if I can create a safe space for open discussions it helps everyone feel more like a community vs feeling like someone is gonna steal anything from them. I have had the pleasure to host styled sessions and everytime I’ve been apart of hosting one I always get amazing positive feedback and great connections with our photographers and that to me is Golden!
