We had the good fortune of connecting with Alex Pasternack and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Alex, what was your thought process behind starting your own business?
Prior to binske, I had created a few other companies and got a taste of what entrepreneurship was like. Early on I realized that I would rather bet on myself as a hungry entrepreneur than to work for “the man” and try to climb the corporate ladder. binske was my second real baby, and I liked my odds of creating something magical with my brother.

What should our readers know about your business?
I am incredibly persistent, hard-working, and not willing to give up. I try and try again until I get to the outcomes I am looking for. This type of mindset with an industry in its infancy stages has allowed us to constantly be ahead of the curve. A shot not taken is a goal not scored. And I love to take shots.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
To start, we would hit the Venice area since I’ve been living in the Venice area for about 7 years. We would also go hiking in Malibu, eat at some restaurants in WeHo, and make sure to hit some spots in Downtown LA. Scopa, in Venice, is one of my favorite restaurants in LA.

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
Big shoutout to my brother Jake for pushing me to join him in this venture. We created something quite special and I wouldn’t be here today if it wasn’t for him.
