Meet Alessandra Wall, PhD | CEO, Executive Coach, Speaker, Author

We had the good fortune of connecting with Alessandra Wall, PhD and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Alessandra, is there something you believe many others might not?
One conventional piece of advice that makes me want to scream is that you can achieve anything with a bit of hard work and stick-to-edness.
This might hold early in your career – many things are achievable with hard work and persistence-, but it takes more than that to reach massive levels of success.
I’ve not only experienced this in my own life/career, I run up against it every day in the work I do with my clients.
These are driven, motivated, highly intelligent, resourceful, and committed executive women. Hard work and persistence are the foundation of their success, but on their own have not, will not, CANNOT get them where they long to be; leading change in high-impact, high-stakes industries, making a real difference with the backing and support of other influential leaders and committed teams, building a legacy of better.
Success at this level requires so much more. It requires visibility, access to opportunities, sponsors, and the ability (freedom) to lead with authority without being punished for being strong, determined, or direct. In other words, there are a whole set of skills and systems that need to be added to hard work and stick-to-edness to unlock next level success and impact.

What should our readers know about your business?
I am ridiculously fortunate to have built a business and a career that allows me to spend my days having powerful conversations with exceptional women.
I work exclusively with exceptional women who’ve challenged the status quo their whole lives. By doing this, they’ve risen to the top, but that wasn’t their goal; it was simply the place they needed to be to make a real difference, build impact, and change the way things are done. My clients know that to build their legacy without sacrificing fulfillment and health at the altar of success, they need someone who can show up as a mentor, advisor, a coach, a person who will say the things no one else tells them and see things outside the myopic corporate lens.
Was it easy to build this business? Absolutely not.
I started my career as a child psychologist. I reinvented myself, first within the field of psychology, then as a business owner, and now as a coaching expert.
Understanding how to leverage my skills to grow a thriving business, managing motherhood and my ambitions, fighting the pressure to dream smaller, and my own expectations to be near perfect… there were growing pains and doubt every step of the way.
But it was all worth it!
Noteworthy has served hundreds of women around the world, and we continue to dream big. I went from a side business to building a thriving and exclusive practice that serves senior executive women. We now also partner with companies to bring them solutions that elevate & support their senior leading women and activate male leaders through allyship, and we’ve extended our support by providing a highly effective series of training options.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
I live on the border of South Park so I would start there. The neighborhood is beautiful and walkable. The businesses and locals are wonderfully friendly. I’d take them to work out with me at Wicked Fit, we’d definitely stop by The Rose (at least twice), grab a croissant at Mateo’s, and lose ourselves reading books at The Book Catapult.
I’d try to convince them to get a surfboard – Pastel Surf Shop has great ones. Then I’d head up to Law Street Beach for some easy waves and grab a late lunch at Costa Brava.
Of course, we’d have to spend some time at the Zoo, then head to Balboa park for drinks at Panama 66
I’m an avid reader and fan of great coffee shops, so I’m willing to drive to Carlsbad to spend a morning at Pannikin’s Coffee & Tea.
From there, I’d probably stroll around “downtown” Encinitas. There are some great local shops there.
The thing with San Diego, is if you’re up for a bit of an adventure, there are so many places to explore, each with their own flair and flavor.
Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
To every coach who has helped me lean into my resilience, face my fears, and build the systems to scale my dreams into realities.
To my personal board of advisors, Danielle Baldwin, Richard Marks, Steph Barry, April Koester.
To the women women I have the privilege of serving, Noteworthy women, who are the embodiment of everything I wish to do, and the world I hope to help create.
