We had the good fortune of connecting with Aldo Gonzalez and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Aldo, what do you want people to remember about you?
what I want my legacy to be know for is giving a good experience and good food. what I want people to remember for good food.

Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
The one thing I’m proud of is being the first in doing mexican yakisoba reinventing the wheel of sorts. How I reached were I’m in my professional career by working hard and keeping an open mind and learning everything I could and no it was not easy. I over came buys pushing thro and knowing that some day I wouldn’t have to work for others. That not everyone is out for your best interest in mind. Despite that to look out and help any one that is in need.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
i would take them to eat all over san Diego

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
There has been many Influential people in my success in my Career. but the most important ones have been my father and my grandmother because that’s were my culinary career began with them in the kitchens in the church. My cuisine is influenced by my step grandfather that was Japanese. That’s were I would eat Japanese food because he didn’t know how to cook Mexican or American food so he would cook Japanese food for us and the Mexican aspect of my cuisine comes from my Culture being full Mexican by Decent. And the success in the business comes from the Faith of my business partners in my cuisine.
