Meet Adriana De Leon | Nutritionist & Health Coach

We had the good fortune of connecting with Adriana De Leon De Leon and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Adriana De Leon, what inspires you?
My inspiration came from my struggle.
Growing up, I always struggled with being overweight. My self-esteem was very low, and my body felt like a punishment instead of a blessing. Many years of battling with depression, low self-esteem, and a poor mindset around food and exercise sank me to hit rock bottom. Until I finally decided to make the change.

Alright, so for those in our community who might not be familiar with your business, can you tell us more?
Like I shared before, I was severely overweight, and I struggled with yo-yo dieting for many years until I became obsessed with nutrition and made my career as well as my passion.
I know how it feels to be in that dark unhappy place, and I remember thinking that my goal was to help other women NEVER feel like that with their bodies. I’ve coached hundreds of women on nutrition and have not only helped them get to their goal weight but also taught them all the tools to maintain their results!
Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
This is a funny question cause she actually did and I took her to my all-time favorite places!
Breakfast at Caroline’s in la Jolla, followed by a walk on the beach.
Rode bikes around Balboa Park had a latte at Lofty’s Coffee and walked around Little Italy
Watched the sunset while sipping on a watermelon Marg on Waterfront on PB
Went to firehouse on PB for some late-night music and dinner!
We had a BLAST and I also felt like a tourist! SD is the best.
The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
Yes. I want to give a special shoutout to Fitness4ward.sd, the only gym in San Diego that allowed me to completely transform my outlook and mind set around exercise and also changed my body & self-esteem.
Going to Fitness4ward 1 hour per day was one of the most exciting things I got to do for myself and still do! 4 years later. Thanks to Fitness4ward, I learned how to strength train, which completely changed my body composition and gave me that passion I didn’t know I had for exercise.
