We had the good fortune of connecting with Abigail Molldrem and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Abigail, what role has risk played in your life or career?
Risk has played a large role in where I’m at today, especially recently when I decided to move from Minnesota to California. This choice was risky because I dropped out of the University of Minnesota to do online school and be completely virtual. This allows me to have my own schedule and create social media content.

Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
When talking about art, content creating and social media doesn’t often come to mind, but it plays a large role in what sets individuals apart in success. Making videos requires creativity, thinking of ways to make your content unique and imagination in photography to push the limits.

To make my platforms stand out from other peoples and posting photos that are unique to myself hasn’t always been easy. There was a period of time when I found myself hopping on different bandwagons and doing copying trends. It took me awhile to realize that my social media family wasn’t consistent and that the content I was creating looked like everyone else’s, on purpose. Overtime I’ve realized that having your own niche and sticking to it is the most important thing one can do to grow a platform and social family.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
If my friends were visiting the SoCal area and I had a week to show them around I would for sure take them to Swamis Cafe in Encinitas to kick off the trip with some açaí. The beaches near Encinitas are my favorite as well so of course I would go to Cardiff, Swamis beach and Grandview. These are all my favorite for watching the sunset and trying to surf! I also love Camp Coffee in Oceanside, their staff are super friendly and always welcoming. Also El Pueblo Mexican food in Cardiff for their fish tacos! There are so many good places to hangout in Southern California and honestly if you’re bored here, there’s something wrong!

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
I would love to shout-out my family and friends who have supported me in content creating with endless motivation when I was in doubt of my self.
