Brandon Evans | Basketball Skills Trainer

My favorite quote is definitely “Because I can.” It’s a huge motivator behind everything I do. I train every day because I can. I have a 2 mile walk to work every morning while I’m in San Diego because I can. I help people become better basketball players because I can. I talk to my family and friends often because I can. Some people would kill to be able to even wake up and make their bed. I’m so lucky and grateful to even be able to walk. Some people never will walk again. Waking up is a privilege. Some people will go to sleep and not wake up. You never know when it might be your last day or one of your dear friends last day. View everything you do as a privilege and your life will change quite a bit I promise. Read more>>

I was given reading material and one of the readings required was The Prophet by Khalil Gibran. The book is divided up into sections of lessons we can learn about certain aspects of life and ways we can inhabit and apply these lessons. Read more>>

“The most important thing about art is to work. Nothing else matters but sitting down every day and trying.” – Steven Pressfield. This quote means so much to me that I have it hung up in my studio so it can constantly remind me to stop playin and get to the work. I initially heard this quote from a mentor of mine who taught me the importance of consistency and how becoming prolific with your craft will truly make or break your career. Read more>>

Akeelah: Our deepest fear is not that we are inadequate. Our deepest fear is that we are powerful beyond measure. We ask ourselves, Who am I to be brilliant, gorgeous, talented, fabulous? Actually, who are you not to be? Akeelah and the Bee Aibileen: You is kind. You is smart. You is important. The Help These two quotes are always in my head when I feel very low with myself or life is overwhelming.
