Meet Lisa Gornall | Spiritual Medium, Mentor, Mindset & Energy Strategist, Author

We had the good fortune of connecting with Lisa Gornall and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Lisa, what habits do you feel play an important role in your life?
Being a successful entrepreneur is a journey of highs and lows. Having a tool box of energy practices helps me balance and align my energy every day. Some days I may do more letting go, surrendering, aligning or grounding.
The habit that helps me be the most successful is connecting with and listening to my intuition. My intuition helps me know if I’m on or off track, if I want to pursue a lead or let it go, and what steps to keep taking in my business to keep growing and moving forward.
In order to connect with my intuition, I have to make space to “be” everyday. This can be slowly enjoying my tea in the morning, sitting outside looking at my pool and watching the birds, or taking a break midday to sit on my couch and re-center. As I sit there, I may need to clear my energy, release any stress I’ve picked up or intentionally ground and balance my energy.
I am a huge believer in creating a balanced work/life schedule. I make sure to have a set day off each week to get tasks done that only I can do like writing articles, creating video scripts and balancing my schedule. I like to have one if not both weekend days schedule free so I can flow through the day and recharge by doing things that will bring my joy in the moment – not the things I thought would bring my joy and now I’m doing just to do because I said I would.
I’m a high performer so I have a strict work schedule. If it’s not my set work hours, I’m not working or thinking about work anymore. I have to have time to recharge – this was one of my biggest lessons. It’s easy to think about work, a client, what I have to do still…but this is all work. When my work day ends, I look at my schedule for the next day and make any corrections. If I think about a post I want to create, I’ll jot down a rough note and let it go until my next work day. My work day has a start time and an end time so that I can have work/life balance. Time to recharge is key to being successful with the work I do.

Can you give our readers an introduction to your business? Maybe you can share a bit about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
What sets my work apart is the intuitive abilities I was born with. As a Spiritual Medium, I have the ability to become one with your energy. I can feel in my body, see and know what you’re holding onto, why, how to let it go and realign your energy. I can also see past lives, communicate with spirits and I’m psychic. This allows me to get the root of what’s holding my client’s back and onto their best path.
I intuitively guide my high performing clients from overwhelmed and overworked to operating at their next level. I give them tools and practices to help them reach their goals, live their dreams and love their life. I love to help them create work/life balance so they can learn to slow down, be present, stop feeling the need to rush so they can relax and do more things that bring them joy in their life and relationships.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
My favorite thing about living in San Diego is to be able to go from the ocean, to the mountains in one day. My favorite beach is South Ponto in Carlsbad. Then I’d take them to Carlsbad Beach where my husband proposed and we got married.
We love to RV in Julian to spend time in the mountains and in the trees.
A lot of my favorite restaurants didn’t survive the shutdowns of the last 2 years. We did just discover Ciao in Vista and like it a lot. We also like Acropolis for Greek food in Vista. In San Marcos we like to go to Del Lusso Pizza.
We spend a lot of time in our pool in the backyard. We like to hike local trails and are looking forward to exploring Live Oak County Park.

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
My parents both helped me recognize my intuitive abilities at a young age. I would watch them and see when their intuition was guiding them and when their fear was. I know the power of trusting my intuition and how unique everyone’s gifts and intuition is for them.
My aunt Bette Huntalas in San Diego helped me make my career change my senior year of nursing school from a Hospice Nurse to the mentoring and coaching I do today. Before her guidance, I thought the only way to use my abilities was as a Hospice Nurse helping people transition and their families they left. Now I’m able to help so many more people earlier in life reach their goals, live their dreams and love their life. I had no idea what a coach was 20 years ago and I’m so grateful she helped me find this career path and get started.
I’ve hired a lot of people along the way to help me get clarity around my abilities and the results I get my clients. Jessica Yarbrough in San Diego helped me transition from doing a session with someone here and there which didn’t really move the needle for long to creating transformational programs for my clients to get amazing results in. Lisa DePamphilis in California has helped me get clarity in expressing how I work with my clients, who benefits from the work I do and in communicating all this in my marketing.
