We had the good fortune of connecting with Marco Montero and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Marco, have you ever found yourself in a spot where you had to decide whether to give up or keep going? How did you make the choice?
Hi, I think one should keep going no matter what, discipline and hard work are fundamental to success. Even the craziest, wildest idea can be materialized in this world, and if you are doing it with your heart, you must trust yourself, and the process, and keep going.

Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
One of the biggest lesson I’ve learned is that if there is no discipline and consistency you are not going to move forward. Art is like a tree, you plant a seed and you have to take care of it with love, if you want to make it become a healthy tree.
One has to confront oneself and defeat the internal demons to become a more disciplined person.
Everyone has different journeys but discipline is key if you want to make it.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
I really like the vibes in Ocean beach, people is nice, sunsets are amazing. I think taking a walk in OB’s pier during the sunset is something amazing and the coffee shop at the end of the pier is so great.

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
I would love to Shoutout my friend from life Adrian Gonzalez who has worked alongside with me since day zero. Adrian, who’s also an artist under the name of 3idrian, is an incredible musician with phenomenal ideas and with lots of talent. He’s been one of my top influences and I’m very proud and happy to say I have been working alongside with him for so many years.
