We had the good fortune of connecting with Jesse Biondi and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Jesse, how do you think about risk?
When you are a creative, risk taking is all you ever do. Is my song ready to be released? Can I make a sustainable income doing creative work? Will people actually take the time to engage with the content that I’m creating? These are just a few of the questions that our inner critic will shout into our ears as we are getting ready to do something that involves risk. My life has been defined by the risks that I was willing to take. I recently left a stable job of teaching to move to a new state and pursue a more creative endeavor. When I met my wife, she lived in Atlanta, GA while I was living in Spartanburg, SC. I relocated my entire life, left my career, and started a new journey with her as we relaunched our company, Creative Global Entertainment. We were building the business slowly while working full-time jobs until recently, when we quit our jobs and took another huge risk of going full-time into our company. For my music career, I’ve always wanted to self-produce my own songs, but it wasn’t until 2019 that I took the risk to start trying it myself. Three years later, and I’m about to release my second full-length album that is fully produced all by myself. These risks that I’ve taken over the years have been some of the most fulfilling decisions that I’ve ever made, pushing myself to grow and work towards goals in ways that I never would have if I had played it safe.

Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
I’ve been a professional musician for over 20 years now. My song writing has taken many different avenues over the years, but I am most excited about the songs I’m creating lately. My message has really taken definition, and I’ve started to write songs that are positive, encouraging, and aimed to inspire people to be amazing humans that see past the limitations that this world has put on them. I’m so excited about my upcoming album that is releasing this fall, as it has 9 tracks that are written to encourage people to step out of their comfort zones and live life to the fullest every day!

My journey has had so many ups and downs over the years. Because of relationships that I was in and life choices, I would reach a certain level of success in my music career, and then I would let it all go and stop for a season. Then I would have to spend way more energy rebuilding everything that I had let go of. I’ve learned to just keep pressing forward, even it’s little by little. It’s like going down a river. Sometimes there are rapids and you’re moving at a fun and exhilarating pace, and sometimes its calm and you’re moving very slowly. But, as long as you stay in the river, you keep moving. I feel like that’s how working in my career has been. There have been years where I got out of the river all together. I am now determined to stay in and keep my momentum going strong. There are many times where I feel like just quitting, as being a creative can be really challenging and exhausting at times. I’ve also had moments of great successes, playing some fantastic shows over the years, meeting some amazing fans, and getting to have an impact on people’s lives through my music.

My one goal in everything that I do is to spread positivity into this world. We live in a time that people are so divided, and I want my art to bring people together and to remind us to love a little deeper, stop and enjoy nature a little more, and build a life that makes us feel alive every day. My first full-length album, Taking Control, really set the tone for this message, and it will continue in my upcoming release, Power to Change.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
Living in the Atlanta, GA area, there is no limit of amazing things to do. Just outside of the city are some absolutely stunning places to go hiking and enjoy the outdoors. We would spend a day shooting the Hootch, or for those non locals, tubing down the Chattahoochee River. That would be followed up by dinner in the city at Marcel, one of the best steak houses around.

Continuing the outdoorsy theme, we would go out to Kennesaw Mountain and do some hiking, as we check out all the amazing views that the observatory deck at the top has to offer. We would then make our way over to Truist Park, where we would check out the Braves stadium, and if in season, catch a game. That night, we would go down to one of my favorite bars, Smith’s Olde Bar, and catch some live music and have some drinks.

You can’t come to Atlanta without visiting the Coca-Cola Museum to learn all about the history of Coke. While in the area, we could hop over to the Atlanta Aquarium, which, until recently, was the largest aquarium in the world. That night, we would go over to a vintage crooner bar called Johnny’s Hideaway and do a little dancing.

We would definitely have to catch a show at the Fox Theater, as they have all the best musicals coming through. After that, we could hang out in Midtown and grab a meal on the rooftop bar and lounge of 5Church.

We could spend a day shopping at the Mall of Georgia, the largest mall in the southeast. We would check out all the shops, ride the carousel, and hang out at the arcade for a little while. For dinner, we will head back into the city to eat at Atlas for some of the best surf and turf in Atlanta. We would end the evening at an awesome speak easy called the Chapter Room.

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
My wife, Melissa LeEllen, has been the absolute biggest catalyst to driving me towards success. When I met her, I had a limited mindset, thinking that my potential was small and that I could not achieve my dreams fully. Since we got together back in 2020, I’ve started believing in myself more and more and I’ve grown in ways that I never would have grown on my own. Her creativity and drive have given my dreams new life, and we are pushing forward together to make the life that we’ve always dreamed of having together. Melissa LeEllen is a rock star at everything she does, and I consider myself the luckiest man ever to get to share life with her and push toward our goals together. I love you, Melissa!!!
