We had the good fortune of connecting with Carly Ferry and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Carly, what do you attribute your success to?
The most important factor in our success has been putting our clients wants and needs as the number one priority while guiding them through the process of achieving the highest price for their home and negotiating on their behalf. Everyone has different aspects that are important to them and we cater to each client personally so that their wants are achieved. Our goal is that once our clients have bought and sold they are raving fans and new friends. The majority of our business comes from referrals so our clients satisfaction is achieved through integrity, knowledge and hard work, while delivering top-quality service.

What should our readers know about your business?
Real estate was always interesting to me and when I was in college, I met with one of my parents’ neighbors who was a successful real estate agent
to learn what it was really about, after you get past the “house”. Everything
she talked about resonated with me and it just felt like it was a perfect
match for what I was looking for, combining personal relationships with
running a business. My father Cay was getting into real estate at the same
time and every time we spoke, all we could talk about was business. We
both had the same interest, intensity and excitement about working
together and making a great experience for our clients.

I attended the University of Arizona. I was in the Eller College of Management
business school and majored in Marketing. I was able to apply the education and
experience from school to creating and building a real estate team and gave me
to confident to help people navigate and maximize on the largest investment in
their life.

From negotiating to relationships to
being the person the client looks to for questions and advise along the way. If I
had to narrow it down, it’s the feeling at the end of the transaction or even years
later when my clients are so happy in their house and appreciate that I was able
to guide them through the process. No matter what market we are in it’s a high
stress situation because the decision they are making for their family to sell, and
move is major. It doesn’t matter if it’s $500k or $6million, I’m their shoulder to
lean on and they put their trust in me to let me handle the process and I strive to
make it as enjoyable as possible from start to finish.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
The coast! I would take them through all the beach cities and all the restaurants, wineries and breweries and then down to the beach. There’s nothing as calming and refreshing than being at the beach. Luckily the San Diego weather allows us to enjoy it year round.

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
My business partner is my father Cay. We started our real estate team together 14 years ago and have worked together to create the business and reputation that we have today, based on raving fans and happy clients. Cay’s background and experience in the business world combined with my major in Marketing set up apart. I wouldn’t be where I am today if I didn’t have him by my side both as a business partner and dad.
