Hi Matthew Owen, what role has risk played in your life or career?
You can do whatever you want in life. All you have to do is do it every day. You can not stop. No matter what. I have turned it into an obsession. All I do is eat, breath and create art. Dedicating my hole life to this because it makes me happy, it makes everyone around me happy. Being able to pick up something lost and bring it back to life, no longer rotting away. It too has a new life. I was a broken solo who found himself in 2025. Finally free to be me. Keeps my mind at ease, hope you enjoy my art :From Scrap LLC -Matt Blessinger

Alright, so for those in our community who might not be familiar with your business, can you tell us more?
None of my art is planed out. I start with an idea that’s it. I feel it is magical how it all comes together. I am still really new at this so everything that I create really impresses me. What am I most proud of? Every single piece, I am super proud of it. Until I start another one. Then that one becomes my new favorite, that is the one I’m most proud of. This profession I decided to start about six months ago has been the most scary exciting, rewarding profession i have ever done. Was it easy? No. It will all work out though, I really really believe that.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
Starting the trip out with a hike up Cowls Mt. to see the sun rise. You can spend all day at Balboa Park. Old Town is a must and Miguel’s is a favorite, Head out to Julian for a slice of pie and see the sunset from Mt. Solodad. Night time Fires are a must and we build those as well.

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
My Wife, she stuck with me through all the tuff times so I can chase my dream to make art. Everyone who believes in me, Armin Hage , Dylan Brown and Burning Beard Brewing in CA, George At Desert Foothills Nursery in AZ.
