We had the good fortune of connecting with Tenya Eickenberg and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Tenya, do you have a favorite quote or affirmation?
One of my favorite quotes is: “You are worth spending your time on.” I say this to my clients all the time because most of us don’t really think about how we’re spending our days until we’re completely drained. Let’s be real most people, especially women, spend the bulk of their time taking care of everyone else. We’re checking in on loved ones, juggling schedules, managing emotions (not just our own), but everyone around us. And while that’s often just how life works, what really surprised me in my research is how many people think they spend more time on themselves than they actually do. When we talk about self-care, it usually means grabbing a bite to eat, squeezing in a quick walk, or maybe journaling or meditating once in a while. And sure, those things help, but for most people, it only adds up to maybe an hour a day, if that. And let’s be honest, consistency isn’t usually a thing, and those are also the first things we push aside when someone else needs us. Here’s the truth: you are worth spending your time on. This isn’t just a feel-good quote; it’s a call to action. Your mental health, your peace, your well-being… they matter. And they deserve more than whatever time is left over at the end of the day.

Can you give our readers an introduction to your business? Maybe you can share a bit about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
What sets me apart is that I want to work myself out of a job, really, I do. I don’t believe healing has to be complicated, overwhelming, or reserved for people with unlimited time and money. All it really takes is a desire to heal, to move forward, to live a life, your intentionally designing. My work blends energy, healing with self-care, not as two separate paths, but is one powerful frequency anyone can tune into. I don’t just help clients release energetic baggage; I equip them with the tools and habits to stay clear, grounded, and connected to who they truly are. I’m most proud when people tell me I help them find themselves again, whether we’re working one-on-one or in group healings. That moment, when someone realizes that they were never broken to begin with, they were just carrying too much energy on their shoulders. And like many healers, I started this work because I needed it myself. I struggled with anxiety, exhaustion, and the pressure to be everything for everyone. I had to learn to feel my emotions instead of stuffing them down, to create boundaries, and to forgive people who never said, sorry, or who didn’t realize they did anything wrong. I had to reframe deeply rooted beliefs, passed down from my family and ancestors. I became my own first client and found a way to help others heal without needing years of medication and therapy. Though I believe medication can be helpful short term. One of the biggest lessons I’ve learned is that healing happens faster when we stop trying to fix ourselves and start listening to ourselves. That’s the part of my work, helping people here with their bodies and heart are really saying, because the answers are already within them.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
If my best friend were coming to visit the area, we would first go to Washington, DC. First on the list, of course, would be the Air and Space Museum, because everybody wants to go to the Air and Space Museum. And then we would go to the Natural History Museum, and then probably the American History Museum. And of course, go to the National Mall to see the Washington Monument, the reflecting pool, the White House, and the Capitol. Because my friend is here for a week. We would also head to Ocean City, Maryland, where we would find the ocean, crabs, and of course, Thrasher’s fries! And we would spend a few days on the beach. And because I live by the beach, we’d spend some time here at my home visiting this beach, looking for shark teeth, and ray teeth, and just enjoying our time together. Favorite places to go and eat would be Island Hideaway and probably the Brick. These are two local restaurants that are always at the top of my list. But the ultimate delicacy would be to just sit down with a bushel of steamed crabs, some corn on the cob, and potatoes

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
There are so many people that deserve a shoutout in my story, first, my husband and kids for being so supportive in not just my healing journey, but in my business journey as well. I’d like to shout out to Kate Elliot, Angie Inglis, Liezell Bradshaw, Jennifer Ford, Bradley Nelson and my clients for showing me so many different ways to look at myself and my journey, without the view of me that they help me to see, I would not be as in tune with myself as I am today.
