We had the good fortune of connecting with Sophia Juarez and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Sophia, can you talk to us a bit about the social impact of your business?
I help women—especially mothers—reclaim their sense of wholeness during some of life’s most tender and transformational seasons. Whether it’s through bodywork, postpartum care, or group facilitation, my work offers a space for restoration, realignment, and deeper self-connection. I guide women back to their bodies, their intuition, and their truth—so they can navigate motherhood with greater confidence, empowerment, and support. That inner shift radiates outward, creating more conscious families, stronger bonds, and ultimately, a more compassionate world.

What should our readers know about your business?
Alchemystic Wellness is the home for the work I offer at the intersection of body, motherhood, and healing. I specialize in massage therapy, traditional postpartum care, C-section scar tissue work, and MotherCircle facilitation. My approach is heart-centered, blending hands-on skill with ritual, nervous system support, and deep respect for the thresholds women move through. The name Alchemystic Wellness is rooted in the idea that healing is both transformational and sacred. Alchemy speaks to the deep process of turning pain, transition, or uncertainty into something meaningful. It reflects the powerful shifts that happen in moments of becoming: the rebirth after birth, the reclamation of self in motherhood, the shedding of old identities. Mystic honors the unseen layers—the body’s wisdom, intuition, and the ancestral and emotional imprints we carry. Getting here hasn’t been easy. I built this business while navigating motherhood, loss, identity shifts, and all the unknowns that come with following a soul-led path. I’ve had to grow through fear, self-doubt, and seasons of burnout. But each challenge brought me closer to my truth—and taught me to honor my own rhythm. One of the biggest lessons has been to trust the power of slow, steady, and intentional work. What sets my practice apart is the level of presence I bring. This isn’t just about easing discomfort—it’s about creating space for women to be deeply seen, supported, and reconnected to their bodies and inner wisdom. What I want the world to know is that healing doesn’t have to be rushed, fixed, or forced. There is remembering in being witnessed, in honoring the sacred seasons of life, and in tending to the body as a gateway to wholeness. That’s what Alchemystic Wellness is all about.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
If my best friend came to visit, I’d want to give them a mix of ease and connection—something that feels like a reset. We’d start one morning at Sunset Cliffs to enjoy the view and then head to Little Lion for breakfast for something cozy and delicious. Another day, we’d spend time at Super Bloom for a long walk around the bay, just talking and soaking up the sunshine. Balboa Park has to be on the list to check out one of the museums—maybe the Botanical Building or the Museum of Us. One afternoon, we’d make space for movement and restoration with a class at Trilogy Sanctuary—maybe some rooftop yoga, followed by a smoothie or lunch at their plant-based café. while enjoying the sunset. Rounding out the week with a drive up to Encinitas, visiting the Self-Realization Fellowship meditation gardens—it’s a peaceful, stunning environment. In between, we’d leave room for slow mornings, shared meals, and definitely a night out dancing at Lou lou’s Club!

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
I’m deeply grateful to so many who’ve shaped this path. My husband has been a steady anchor, offering unwavering support, space to evolve, and belief in my vision even when it was still forming. My midwife not only walked with me through birth, but also showed me what it looks like to hold space with deep presence and trust.

To my teachers and mentors in bodywork and postpartum care—thank you for teaching me to slow down, to listen with my hands and heart, and to trust my inner knowing. Your guidance lives in my work every day.

And to the mothers who have so generously shared their stories with me, your fierce devotion, honesty, and courage have stayed with me. You’ve shaped my work and my mothering in ways that words can’t fully capture.
