Meet Christina Woods | Luxury Real Estate Photographer

We had the good fortune of connecting with Christina Woods and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Christina, what inspires you?
What inspired me to start this journey 25 years ago wasn’t business or money—it was beauty. I’ve always been drawn to the way light hits a tree at sunset, how a room feels when the morning sun pours in, and the quiet details God placed in the world around us. Nature, light, and the feeling of home have always spoken to me.
Photography became a way to honor that—and starting my own business gave me a way to share that vision with others. This is not just a job for me, its part of who I am.
From the very beginning, I wasn’t aiming to build a large company. I wanted to do work that felt meaningful—capturing homes in a way that evokes emotion and tells a story. For homeowners, it’s about preserving the beauty and memories a space holds, and the future it promises. For real estate professionals, it’s about capturing the essence of a property in a way that drives results. Sometimes it’s about the soul of a home; other times it’s about crisp, striking images that help it sell for top dollar. Fortunately, those goals converge for me into one purpose: showing what makes a house a home, and helping my brokers bring top dollar for their clients with a brilliant, refined marketing process.
That dedication and passion led me to work with some of the top-selling brokers throughout Southern California, specializing in luxury, high-end properties. Over the years, my business grew organically through word of mouth. I believe that’s because people recognized how much care I put into each project—technically, emotionally, and professionally.
my motto is
“I shoot to sell, every time. I never cut corners.”

Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
This isn’t just a job for me—it’s what I love. Photography is my passion, and because of that, I approach every project with full dedication. Challenges come up all the time—schedules shift, weather changes last minute, a space might not be ready—but I’ve learned to adapt. Whether it means finding a way to make the scene beautiful as-is or coming back at the right time for the best light, I always do what it takes to deliver my best work.
My goal is always the same: to create images that not only meet expectations, but exceed them—to bring a fresh, elevated perspective to whatever I’m photographing. When I walk into a space, my creative process starts instantly. Within seconds, I’ve mapped out the angles, the close-ups, and the timing for when the natural light will hit just right. It’s second nature to me now, and that instinct is something I’ve developed through years of experience and love for what I do.
One of my proudest moments was when one of my images was selected for the official Bridges Stamp Collection—a true honor. I’ve also had work featured in magazines and on billboards, which reminds me how far this journey has come. But at the end of the day, what means the most is seeing my clients excited about the final images and knowing I made a difference.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
Some of my favorite places include the hidden swing in La Jolla—though I won’t give away its location, because some secrets are meant to be kept. I love walking through Torrey Pines State Natural Reserve, taking in the beauty of nature. The Mount Soledad National Veterans Memorial is a powerful, peaceful place that always leaves an impression. Shadow Mountain Church holds a special place in my heart, and dining at A.R. Valentien with a view of the water is one of those quiet luxuries that never gets old. I cherish night walks at Paseo One, watching movies at the top of San Diego at The Rooftop Cinema Club, and there’s something so calming about searching for shells along the coast during low tide—it’s in those simple moments that I feel most connected to the world around me.

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
I had the privilege of working with many of the most respected, top-producing brokers and luxury real estate firms on the entire West Coast. Their dedication to excellence, attention to detail, and commitment to their clients raised the bar for everyone around them—including me. I’ll always be grateful for the trust they placed in my work and the standard of excellence they helped instill in me. John Bell, Jason Barry, Sean Barry, Kendra Gibilisco, John Purdy, Beth Davidson, Willie and Laurelle Wilson, Meagan Green, Tim Van Damm, Greg Noonan, and many more.
